Was a very, home-like stay. The place was very clean and neat. The bed was comfy to sleep in. There is a TV to watch, but unfortunately the signal was very poor, therefore we couldn't use the DStv that was offered. WiFi is also available, but not working at all. We received clean bedding on the 3rd day of our stay and clean towels every 2nd day, which is very nice. Toilet paper, sunlight, and bath soap were also provided. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Very nice view. The barbecue has rusted and is falling apart. There are very few TV channels. DSTV only had 2 channels that froze. Only the basic amenities are available, like a nice hot tub, but it doesn't work. The water pressure was very low and I almost had to jump around to get wet in the shower. The sink was clogged and the water came out slowly. The sound of the sea was lovely and there is a nice big leather seat. The hostess was very friendly and helped where she could. The place is not wheelchair friendly and the stairs are just bad for people with false hips.
Situated on Beach Road, just across from the beach which was awesome. However, the room did not have an AC, we had to ask for a fan. There was no WiFi and most of the TV channels were blurry. The flat was minimally equipped and very basic. Our sea view was the neighbouring buildings.
Our stay was wonderful, just to be able to look out over the sea. Lighting in place could improve. Oven didn't work, otherwise stay was great.
The apartment at Pip's Place was nice and comfortable. Personally, I think towels and bedding should be changed every day or every second day. The WiFi was slow or not working, which was the only problem for me. Other than that, everything was good. It was safe and in a good location.
The location is great but the blinds all need to be replaced. There is only one silly round sink in the kitchen which makes washing dishes difficult and no fans or aircons. A great hostess!

Centrally located. Neat spacious apartment. The penthouse is one of the few apartments on the sea front that has a usable braai area on the veranda. It was sheltered, despite gales.
We were welcomed by a very nice lady who explained everything in detail to us. No fuss.

Everything was very nice and clean and tidy, but the place is very neglected and needs a lot of attention. For the money one pays, the standard is very low.
View and location are unbeatable! Valeska's reception was very friendly and professional and messages with the load shedding schedules were very welcome. Secure parking under shade net canopy. Wi-fi helped make everyone jealous with photos. But - unfortunately the penthouse apartment needs some attention. The apartment was cleaned nicely, but there was a bad smell on the carpets. The TV had no active channels (but the wi-fi, view and other attractions in the area kept us busy). During our visit the lift was completely out of order which made the calves work a bit, but this could be a problem for someone who can't do the stairs. If I had to compare the apartment with others in the area that we have visited before, I would unfortunately not be able to recommend it.
Next time maybe just take an apartment that overlooks the sea, especially if there are children involved. Well laid out. Tidy.

The penthouse is a lovely open space with braai facilities and unlimited sea views. Centrally located, with a lovely boardwalk for those of us who enjoy a walk by the sea. Close to Somerset Mall shopping center and many restaurants.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was incredibly neat and had all kitchen appliances. There was secure parking and we were within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. There is a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, you wouldn't even say that there were still people who went home there.

We would go back there anytime. The apartments are very nicely furnished and clean. The reception is also very professional and friendly. We were very private and the silence and the sound of the sea is just what you need after such a long week.
We visit Strand every second year for the lifesaving competition and always book at Pip's Place, it's hassle free and convenient, close to shops and by the sea, beautiful view.

The facilities are well maintained, staff are all helpful, from cleaners, security and office. When you made requests they were helpful. Allow me to make recommendations (1) kitchen does not have sharp knives, (2) no dish cloths in kitchen and (3) a larger saucepan and baking dish would be useful.
It's just a complaint of the toilet which leaked a bit, but everything was OK with the accommodation.
Location is fantastic. Sliding door's wheels have been worked out and shutters can no longer move, so your view is obstructed. However, the office lady said they are working on getting it right.

The location is ideal. View is breathtaking. Thought the unit had a balcony but it didn't. Kitchen is scantily equipped. No egg lifter, plastic/glass containers, vegetable peeler. Expected a little more for the price. Reception quickly put an extra bed in the unit and that is appreciated. View is beautiful.

We expected a sea view, which was not the case. It was terribly hot without any cooling. The whole apartment is too cramped for us. The shower is very small. The frying pan 'tripped' the power". The dishes were not adequate (only one pan, no tongs). We would recommend the place but not for us. We like space and comfort and a sea view. We have also needed a mop, which was not available.
The photos on the website and the apartment we stayed in cannot be compared at all. I would recommend Pip's Place but not for the amount we paid and how the apartment looks.
I think I made a mistake with the booking. Even though it was during the school holidays I don't think the price is reasonable. People at reception were friendly and helpful. At this price you expect better quality towels, hand soap and air freshner in the bathroom.
