The most amazing location. It's so pretty, surrounded by mountains and trees. The host is very kind and helpful.
It does indicate gas and solar, but was a bit disappointed to find that the solar gave problems and we had a maximum of 2 hours of light a night before the battery ran flat, was not very impressive to sit in the dark most of the stay.
This little house is surrounded by nature and hills. The views and the wildlife are just amazing. We all enjoyed the farm very much with the river you can hear in the background and the cattle you can see on the opposite hill. The walks around the farm are just refreshing and around every corner there is such a great new view. The little house has everything you need for a perfect stay. We arrived with a non 4x4, knowing that the website stated you need a 4x4 to get to the house. The owner was so friendly and assisted us to get to the house when we arrived and back to the main road when we left. I would definitely recommend Pivaansbad Plaas. You actually get rest here.
What a beautiful place, I loved that there was no one else around for miles and still we felt so safe! It was green everywhere and were surrounded by mountains and could watch the storm roll in. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. We all slept well and, really, the only complaint would be the mosquitoes which is part of life. The kids got to count cattle in the morning before breakfast which they loved - thank you so much Marius! Wish you only good things going forward and we hope to visit again one day.
The cottage is really beautiful. A short distance down, just past the cattle pen, the river meanders with a shallow water bridge. Definitely a must for village children and parents who want to get away from the city's hustle and bustle. The environment is beautiful.

The location of the cottage is fantastic and the scenery indescribably beautiful. The best place to get away and switch off so you can recharge. Really recommend it to everyone in the rushed life. Thank you to our host Marius who fulfilled all our needs and made us so happy, we will see you again for sure.
It was just unbelievably hot and luckily right next to us was Natal Spa where we went swimming.
Access route not too impassable. The cottage is very comfortable and creates an old farm atmosphere. Still there is a nice gas stove, geyser and fridge. Solar power for lighting and even mobile phone charging. Comfortable kitchen and outside on the patio with the most beautiful views, a braai area. Plenty of walking routes along the river make for a great pastime. The highlight is the absolute silence and view over the mountains and even wildlife on the ridges and on the plains. But the silence!
Pivaansbad Farm is incredibly beautiful. Definitely worth putting on your bucket list. The cottage is very nice and comfortably equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners and the farm manager are very friendly and helpful.

Definitely the perfect place to get away for a few days and experience the natural beauty. Most beautiful view of the mountains. Host was very friendly and went out of his way to make us feel part of farm life.
I'm not sure about Paulpietersburg as a tourist destination, but cold bath farm, as well as Natal Spa are unique places to visit in the mountains along Phivane River. It is suitable for someone with a LAW or 4x4. Marius arranged for extra wood and our little fire burned nicely. Myself and 2 friends arrived late in the afternoon and drove again early (we 'scoot' around SA on Chinese scooters).
We stopped over for one night, it is easily accessible from the main road. The cottage is well equipped and has a beautiful view.
It is a beautiful cottage, we enjoyed it very much. And can really recommend it to anyone. Thanks again!
The Cottage sits in the middle of nowhere on a working cattle farm. The Cottage was clean and tidy, a wine bottle opener would be an asset. Was nice to walk along the river.
Nice cottage runs on gas and solar for light and phone charging, everything works. We used it as a base for 4 days to cycle the dirt roads in the area with some lovely view for the fit. Great training for the summer race season.
The cottage is beautifully tidy and safe, with everything one would need. It's simple and peaceful on the picturesque farm surrounded by green mountains and cattle. We were very well looked after by the lovely host and wife. Thank you very much!
