Have a nice stay! Annatjie is very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are nice and spacious. WiFi is available although there is load shedding.

Good stop over to Gauteng.
My reason for "no" above is that the shower is currently (easy to fix) full of mold. He needs a bottle of Mold Buster and a good scrub. Currently creepy. The rest is all sparkling clean. Nice fresh linen and towels and a great mattress on the bed. Ps, wish there was some milk for the coffee - even powdered milk would do.
Kitchen light wasn't working. Back door didn't have a lock.

Have always looked for an ideal quiet and peaceful stay a stone's throw from the city, and found it. All you need is there plus lots of farm animals for the young and not-so-young folks. Will be back!

The reception was very friendly. The room is well equipped with kitchen and bathroom and all appliances needed. Unfortunately there was only eTV on TV. No DStv or OpenView or anything like that. It is about 10 km from the main road and one has to drive for 3 km on dirt road. If you are willing to do this, then the stay is very pleasant.
Internet for guests. It is close enough to the city itself for working guests.
The Middle Room is very small and has no table for eating. Ate outside as the weather was fine. Please update your directions as the ones received by us are useless.

Is a real farm with open air scenes. Lovely lawns and well equipped units. A guy is visiting here. There is a TV but you will miss the fresh air if you sit inside. The hostess receives you very friendly and helpful.
The gas fold came to welcome me and I just felt like I belonged there. Slept well and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

Nice overnight stay on a farm outside Bloemfontein. Friendly service, beautiful and tidy accommodation.
Pros: Loved the apartment; comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is also well-equipped. It was bitterly cold at night, so the heater and electric blanket were lifesavers. Friendly reception by the hostess. However if, like me, you are a light sleeper: An outside light was kept on all night which disturbed my sleep. I stupidly expected it to be quiet at night, but it wasn't. Animal noises don't have an off button. Despite the disturbed sleep, I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

The Workshop Cottage is very comfortably equipped and it's definitely a good location if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. For just an overnight stay the location may be a bit out of the way.

The road to the farm was in bad shape. Please ask the owner before visiting. There was heavy rain the day before I arrived and this made the situation much worse.

Simple but comfortable, immaculately clean, nice fittings. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Mind you there is no DSTV, but on a quiet farm this is actually a plus! It's a few kilometers to Bloemfontein, but you can get there in about 10 minutes.
Friendly hostess who makes an effort to make you feel at home, very comfortable accommodation at a minimal price. It's great to feel like you're visiting a working farm, but you're only a few minutes outside the city.
On the way back from holiday, our family of 7 stayed here. The last 2.5 km dirt road to the farm was very muddy shortly before Christmas after two days of non-stop rain, and we were very grateful and lucky not to get stuck. Our initial plan was to go out for pizza for dinner as soon as possible, but Annatjie brought us sausage and ingredients for braai breads so we could just stay there safely. The next morning on the way out we did get stuck. We contacted Annatjie and they came to tow us out with a tractor. They also brought warm water in a bucket with a towel so we could clean our muddy feet before we ventured on the rest of the journey. So much hospitality and country friendliness gave us a precious memory at the end of a nice holiday. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

It rained shortly before our arrival and Annatjie warned us to drive carefully. Luckily we have a bakkie and apparently you can drive a sedan, but we think the dirt road after rain is difficult to drive and it's easy to get stuck or slide.
On arrival I was kindly received by Annatjie and her cute dogs. Room was spacious, comfortable and had everything I needed. The self-catering facilities are also adequate and the farm-fresh milk and coffee, tea and sugar dishes were a welcome addition. They will certainly see me again.
We got there late, but reception was great, place was clean and tidy. The farm is peaceful and you can rest well after a long journey.

We were very pleasantly surprised with these Cottages. The owners were friendly and helpful. We were even treated to fresh farm milk upon our arrival. The unit was super neat and clean, and fully equipped. Big rooms and enough space. The gardens were beautiful; there under the trees, with green grass under your feet, and a view of the farm, you forget that you are in a town. We are looking forward to our next overnight stay at Plaas Cottages and would definitely recommend it.

We were very surprised with Plaas Cottages, because the photos on the website (05/01/2018) really don't do it justice. They have a lovely garden, with large trees and delicious braai facilities. The room was big and the kitchen has everything you need. They also made an effort to accommodate our 2 year old by putting a toddler bed in our room. This is definitely our new place to sleep in Bloemfontein.

We spent the night here on our way to the sea. Annatjie is a hospitable hostess and we had a lovely chat. Our 17-month-old toddler also really enjoyed the farm life and was fascinated by the chickens and other animals on the farm. The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable night's stay. I highly recommend it, especially for families with children!
We were very kindly received by Annetjie. She made an effort for our arrival and we immediately felt welcome. The cottage was clean and tidy with heaters that were switched on ahead of time to provide heat as it was quite cold. The bed was comfortable with plenty of bedding and an electric blanket for extra warmth. If you want to spend the night in a farm atmosphere and don't mind a few kilometers of dirt road, this is the ideal place. The only negative aspect was that the hot water in the bathroom ran out very quickly.

The accommodation met our needs more than 100% and the owners were so friendly.
It was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, especially if you're coming from out of town. The light is clean, everything just feels different there on the farm. Would really recommend it. And thank you very much again.
Even though the accommodation itself was very comfortable, clean, safe and peaceful, and we've stayed there on more than one occasion, the access road this time was quiet bad - very uneven. (Not the fault of the owners, but rather the provincial/local government's road maintenance unit). Pity the road is not always maintained, as the accommodation is truly value for money.
We enjoyed it and are very satisfied.
This was our second time staying there and is definitely one of our favorite places. We will definitely go again.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was comfortable, relaxing and affordable. The bed had an electric blanket which was very welcome on the cold night we were there. Millions of birds to wake you up in the morning and afterwards you can enjoy the marvellous rusks made by the friendly owner. I can highly recommend this place. We will definitely go there again.

My in laws stayed 10 days when they had to undergo medical procedures and they were very happy. Equipped with everything you need. The little houses area very comfortable and spacious. Annatjie is very friendly and she helps where possible. Outside the city but not to far, you can make the trip anytime. The 2 km gravel road is not perfect, but otherwise nothing was amiss. Already made our next booking.

We enjoyed our stay. Few things that came up but no train smash or end of the world situation thank goodness. The things that came up were as follows: due to heavy rains the linen appeared to still be damp as well as the bath towels. Now if this was due to moisture in the air or if they were not properly dried after laundering, well, the hostess can investigate and perhaps advise the staff to take care. Because this is a farm, and it is advertised as such, peeps need to be aware that the doggies on the property LOVE all visitors, so be prepared to say hello to the two fox terriers. Hostess was super awesome, made us feel warm and welcome and even provided us with some carrots to feed the two donkeys. And this is where my disappointment came up. The two donkeys are well fed, look super healthy and with a bit of convincing they will come when called and eat the carrots provided. Unfortunately these donkeys are in desperate need of a farrier.

What a wonderful, restful weekend! The house is wonderfully furnished with everything you could possibly need. There is a central braai-area and there are a lot of trees. It is also safe and deathly quiet. The place is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet only a few minutes' drive, about 10 km, from a shopping centre, casino and the N1.
Farm Cottages welcomed us warmly and we had a wonderful stay in a beautiful house on a beautiful farm. Our children had fun playing with the dogs and enjoying the farm animals. The owl in the barn was a highlight. The owners are incredibly friendly and went out of their way for us. Thank you very much!

Farm Cottage is located 8 km outside Bloemfontein which gives it a quiet and peaceful atmosphere after a long day on the road. Unfortunately there are no shops nearby to cater for "self-catering", only restaurants at the casino along the main road. It's safe, tidy and the reception is warm.

Facilities are very neat and the people are very hospitable.
Nice place. But the place is old and the rooms are decorated in dark hues. But they could take a look at the shower. The water pressure is slow and there's algae on the tiles. The shower mat looks gross and needs to be replaced. Kitchen had no forks and there were too many empty and dirty kitchen cupboards. I will go again for one night though.
The cottage needs attention. The house needs a good clean, especially the shower. I am sure the bedding was clean, but it was so wrinkled that it gave the impression that someone had already slept in the bed. That said, the garden is beautiful and the peacefulness is food for the soul.
