We had a very nice stay.
The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that would be nice is to have an electric blanket for the cold winter nights. Parking is safe and secure. Nice and secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough should you need anything from shops.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet. We only stayed overnight, but I would really like to go back and stay longer in the peaceful surroundings.
Unfortunately only overnight, but you will certainly be able to enjoy the outdoors and barbecue there.
We were received kindly and the hostess was very helpful. The house has everything we needed.

The cottages at Plover Cottages are very cute, but they needed an update and a thorough clean, and maybe a fumigation. There is a lot of space for vehicles, and if you have a caravan.

Very basic accommodation with a 2 plate stove, microwave and fridge. Their shower facilities are small, but at least no problems with hot water. Reception was so-so.
Did not get room booked. No cups. Dirty floor. No hot water. Generally rundown.

Would be nice to have a notice up with times of load shedding and with info that the cold water in the shower doesn't work when power is off. A drying cloth in the kitchen would be good. Very nice stay though.
We had a great time in no. 2 stayed. Yolandi welcomed us with open arms. We had everything we needed. We will go there again for sure. The peace and quiet was not to be despised.
We arrived to loadshedding and left with loadshedding, should be notified of the schedule for cooking purposes, no gas options. Cosy. No replacement toilet paper. Min dishwasher liquid. Microwave is too small.
I could spend the night there with my dogs, slept very well!

Warmly welcomed by the host. The cottage was clean and well-equipped. Plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed.

It was just an overnight stop. We couldn't explore.
Breakfast was lovely. Return trip the cottage was not fully prepared, but they were willing to fix it quickly.
Well located, close to N1 but not too close to be bothered by vehicle noise. Right for a stopover on the way to somewhere else. Got good service, no complaints. Not perfect but good value for money. Ordered dinner, well worth it. Will stay there again.
Bed or floor is not level. Feet higher than head. Linens dirty in cupboard.
The rondavel was hastily cleared when we landed. The price is perhaps acceptable for what is offered. But the photo representation and description on the website created higher expectations than the reality turned out to be.
We will not stay there again at all. Extremely poorly managed, quite dirty, and totally disorganized. Only positive thing is the location. The maid was also lovely. But otherwise not good at all.

Arrived 2 hours late after accident on N1. Still kindly received. Unfortunately we experienced an 11.5 hour long power outage 10 min. after we landed. Had a delicious dinner.
We slept great. The new owners are very friendly and apparently took over recently. The place is very well located out of the city of Bloemfontein and close to the N1. The place needs some TLC but I believe if they are well supported they will make the necessary improvements.
It was a good place to stay on our way to JHB from CT. The rondavel was clean and we had what we needed. Nice touch from Yolandi bringing fresh milk!
Got wonderful food and had a great stay. Nice out of town away from the hustle and bustle. Easy to get to and pet friendly.
Teens struggled with dust upstairs. Downstairs was clean but in need of maintenance. A sugar-soap wash would work.
The buildings look unkempt, in need of paint and repairs. Inside it is clean, but not quite up to standard.
OK. It could have been cleaner, but in general, it is a cheap overnight stop and was OK.
Poor reception. Skoomaker was not aware we were coming so early (2:00 p.m.). Owner? Message sent that she would come say hello the next day, never happened! Owner's dog bun is all over the place. Place has a lot of potential, just needs good management. Lots of dust on top of cupboards. Floors not the cleanest. They can feel free to put a broom in the place to clear the place.
The place is neglected. The world is full of dog bunnies. Not at all like in photos.
Management is fantastic and very helpful. Nothing too big for them to handle. Great.
