It was truly a pleasant stay. Everything you need was available. Plum Tree is really well equipped. It's like a home away from home.
The house is full of surprises to make your stay comfortable. Plum Tree Cottage is highly recommended.
It was a very nice, peaceful and friendly village with the beautiful nature view from our stoepie. Walked around a lot and even through the Nature Reserve to be able to see and enjoy everything. The units were very comfortable, the fireplace worked overtime at night. We miss it already!!
We have stayed here numerous times and it suits our every need. We are always sad to leave. Spacious, cosy, well-equipped. Fantastic value for money.
Karin is an excellent hostess! The place is located on the side of the town. Despite her warning to keep the windows and doors closed when you are not in the unit, I left one window ajar for fresh air and an opportunist stole a few items through the window that night . Fortunately not valuable, but still. However, such behavior is found everywhere. I will go again and the place has crept into my heart. Thanks Karin!
We had a great time. All amenities were there. Nice spacious room and bathroom. If you want to get away from the city you can't ask for a nicer place. Very neat and clean.
We were in the area for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. The house is lovely and has everything you want as well as a beautiful garden and view. A cold bottle of wine in the fridge was also a nice surprise. I unfortunately do not give full marks because 2 things. First, the crockery had been dirty. We had to wash the glasses, cutlery and barbecue tray ourselves before we used them. Secondly, the braai place needs a new grill, the one provided has served its purpose and can easily be replaced. I would still recommend the cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area.
We had a great time at Plum Tree Cottage which is very well furnished. A delicious bottle of McGregor wine was waiting for us in the fridge and a bag of wood for the fireplace. My dachshund really enjoyed the back garden. The only negative point is the wood that is sawn near the house. The sound of the electric saw all day was quite disturbing when you came to rest.
This cottage in another part of town would be brilliant.
It was exactly what we were looking for. Calm and peaceful. Near our mother-in-law they 800 m down the road. The cottage was also very well equipped. Would love to stay there again.
We were very comfortable here, we loved the pretty little garden, the beautiful views and all the facilities in the cottage. McGregor is a beautiful little town.
Fantastic neat place, perfect for a getaway.
We really enjoyed the time. The view was lovely and it was well set up for dogs too. The town is close enough for walking and yet it doesn't feel like you're in town. The bed is in most cases a queen-size bed.
The house has everything you need. Comfortable with nice outdoor area and braai. We took our dog along, worked well and secure for dogs also good all round security. The only suggestion we have for improvement is that the padlock on the front gate is difficult to work, well worth replacing with a better quality combination lock.

It was marvelous little cottage, but so sad that all the kitchen crockery and bake ware was so dirty. We had to soak all the crockery before to clean all the grime off. We assumed that the place was not properly cleaned after the previous guest left.
My Mum and I had a wonderful break in nature surrounded by beautiful gardens and mountains in this idyllic cottage. Everything that you need with lovely places to relax, soak up the sun, watch the sunrise and sunset. We loved everything about this place. We took our two small dogs and they were able to safely explore the gardens without being able to escape. We would definitely love to visit again.
Just what I'm looking for in a guest house, just like being at my own home.
The location was great being so close to the mountains and a stone's throw from the town's main street. Cottage was well equipped, tidy and enough reading material to keep you busy all weekend. Would love to stay here again.
Exceptionally clean and well-equipped cottage. We enjoyed a great two-night stay here with our two whippets, who thoroughly enjoyed exploring the gardens and playing catch on the patch of lush grass. Being on the edge of town offered us great views - the only downside being random vehicles stopping on the bordering dirt road after dark for up to an hour a time. Was a little disconcerting.
From a bottle of wine in the fridge, fast WiFi and delicious coffee with biscuits. What more can one ask for. Will go back again for sure.
Amazing accommodation with all you need and more. I would definitely recommend this to those who need a weekend to relax in scenic surroundings.
Was very pleasantly surprised by how well equipped the house was and how nice and clean everything was. The little extras like the wine and biscuits that were put out, it was like a hotel but self catering, will definitely come again and recommend to others.

Plum Tree Cottage is charming. It is spacious, well-looked after (even filter coffee provided) and is stylishly decorated. The views from the windows are of the surrounding hills and fields and it is very peaceful and relaxing.
Plum Tree was a wonderful experience. It is very neat, very stylish with nice art on the walls and good quality furniture, It is also very well equipped with a giant fireplace, a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are plenty of extras such as a coffee maker, a fully stocked spice rack and even a large tin of biscuits. We had a very nice stay, I can highly recommend it with a calm heart.
I sought silence, and certainly found it there. In a very clean and tidy, spacious house. But I didn't feel comfortable sitting outside because the town's residents were constantly walking past the fence. The Karookoppies and stars were beautiful, as well as the braai area and garden of the house. The beautiful cat made himself at home and we enjoyed him immensely. It was definitely worth it.
