Point Lodge is the perfect base to explore the surrounding indigenous forests and trails, the spectacular Featherbed Nature Reserve and the beautiful lakes and beaches nearby. Golf courses in the area include the spectacular Pezula and Simola estate courses as well as the popular Knysna Golf Club. There are at least an additional six courses within an hour’s drive.

I had a nice stay. Sorry that there was no WiFi available. Maybe it was an oversight, but the password didn't work and the WiFi's name didn't appear on the list of nearby WiFis. However, it was late when I found out and I didn't want to disturb the owner - so maybe it could have been fixed.

Beautiful view. Friendly reception by owner and manager. Was there for the Knysna Forest Run. A special food package for breakfast was put out for the athletes who had to leave early. The breakfast was delicious and once again a nice time with the hosts. Thank you very much for a nice stay and visit with friends.

Ryk the host, received us with a warm welcome. The friendliness was experienced throughout the stay. Lovely breakfast was served overlooking the lagoon. I would recommend the lodge for an overnight stay only. We experienced a problem with the drainage of the shower, but the host attended to it when mentioned. Although the evening rest was nice, we would have preferred a double bed as the two single beds together differed in height. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

Ryk and James went above and beyond for us newlyweds. Our 10 day honeymoon was nothing short of incredible. We loved every moment of it. We felt so welcomed and at home from the minute we arrived until moment we left. Everyone morning we were served a delicious gourmet breakfast, and it was never too much for Ryk or James to recommend a restaurant for dinner (and the recommendations never failed). The facilities were always clean and well presented. There were sufficient brochures to choose our daily activity from. Some afternoons we lazed outside by the pool and overlooked the lagoon. It was so peaceful and quiet, we definitely rested and are rejuvenated again. Thank you Point Lodge again for making our honeymoon an unforgettable one! We would highly recommend you to our friends, family and anyone who asks. We hope to return soon! Maybe for babymoon.
Charming guesthouse in a beautiful setting on the lagoon. The room was spacious and comfortable. A nice touch was the complimentary bottle of red wine. A small problem in the bathroom was promptly attended to by the friendly manager, James. Breakfasts are well presented and include continental style as well as cooked. The owner, Ryk, is an excellent and most welcoming host who goes the extra mile to ensure a good stay.
Absolute value for money.
Ryk, Michelle and James made me extremely welcome. The buildings and gardens are beautiful, well-maintained and charming, and the view of the lagoon is wonderful. To my great delight, there were chameleons to be spotted in the shrubbery. I wouldn't hesitate to return, or to recommend The Point Lodge to any of my friends and colleagues.

This is a hidden gem. You probably can't get any closer to the lagoon! And breakfast was included. We would suggest that more candles and matches or a rechargeable light with the power cuts, be available in the room.

We had a restful night at Point Lodge, with soft, clean bedding and towels. The bathroom, shower and boiler need a bit of renovation, and we would have welcomed a dustbin in the room. There is a flat screen TV, but no DStv, and the satellite dish picks up the SABC channels very poorly. WiFi didn't pick up either. We really didn't pay much, and still had a good night's rest and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, with friendly service.

We were really surprised with our accommodation and accommodation at the lodge. We were warmly welcomed and our accommodation was quiet and very comfortable. The lodge is located close to the highway, but there were no traffic disturbances that bothered us. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. We even decided to stay one more day to enjoy our holiday there. We just want to thank the management for the incredible, wonderful, peaceful holiday they made possible for us. We can highly recommend Point Lodge for couples and small families.
We four stayed here for three nights on a Garden Route trip. The house and garden are beautiful with wonderful views from the patio. The owner and staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely rooms and furnishings. Highly recommended.

Clear directions from the N2, in a peaceful area. Close to restaurants. A spacious room with a fire place and couch. The view from the honeymoon suite is panoramic, from sunrise to lights at night. The manager (Ryk) went out of his way to welcome us and to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast includes fruits, cold buffet and English breakfast. We slept great!

Large spacious room with good quality linen. Rich, the hotel manager is an excellent host. He is incredibly well informed about things happening in and around Knysna and you can follow driving recommendations and advice without a doubt.

We received very friendly service. Very clean and tidy and big room. Although we didn't use it, the "honesty bar" is a very convenient idea! The only thing that might have made it difficult was when we got there at 12:30, the little woman said that we still had to wait about 15 minutes to check in.
We had our 4x4 trailer and Ryk accommodated us with it and provided power supply. Ryk gave us a map of Knysna with a quick overview of which restaurants were recommended by previous guests. We had such a good time that we extended the time there by another day. I happily recommend Point Lodge.

The outstanding feature of Point Lodge is the owner with his helpfulness and very friendly nature, as if he has been your friend for years. Each guest receives individual attention and he is immediately available for anything. No one is singled out... Everyone is important to him. The Loerie Room was somewhat disappointing. There is no makeup table and the mirrors are impractically mounted for makeup. The bedside lamps are too bulky and large. Maintenance could improve as the bathroom door handle was loose. No DStv channels or remote control for TV. The doors open with difficulty. The bathroom could be renovated.
Ryk and his staff are so helpful. Place is clean. Family room is perfect for little kids. My daughter did however complain about the stairs.
Ryk Cloete was an absolute pleasure. We were early so he gave us a choice of 3 rooms, it was great and we felt spoiled. Weather did not allow us to appreciate the full specter of the establishment but one could see that the facilities could be better enjoyed, but we were only there for one night. Nice breakfast also.
