What a beautiful space. with so much potential. Our initial impression was that it was lovely - but thought that a leafblower would have neatened an extremely messy courtyard. The bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived - the shower had suds from the previous tenant's use and hair that was still on the tiles - the basin was dirty and the taps were desperate for a good clean. the counter top and windowsills were in need of a good wipe - the floor needed to be mopped. in actual fact the entire area needed sterilization. . Two things travellers look forward to is a good shower and a decent nights rest. we could have neither. even the pillows and duvet stank from previous tenants. It tainted our stay which would have been lovely if only it was cleaned.
The room service with the breakfast was a bonus and very convenient! The owners are friendly and helpful.

We were warmly welcomed and the room is comfortable and spacious. Beautiful decor, quality bedding and the best breakfast! Dave went the extra mile for us and arranged a place for dinner in no time. We will definitely go back to Pollocks B&B again!
I would suggest, because it is in such a thickly wooded area, that they wipe off the spider webs every now and then. It's just part of living in the woods.

It's the best value for money I've had in a long time. Very nice large room with comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV with all channels, coffee plunger, fridge, iron and board. Breakfast consists of a good selection served in room. Very clean and tidy and friendly and helpful owners. Fruit and biscuits were also provided.

Pollock's B&B is very neat and tasteful. The bathroom is very nice and the Pollocks are excellent hosts. For example, they found a place for us in an excellent, very popular restaurant just around the corner. We had a very nice stay on the way between Oudtshoorn and Richards Bay.
It was a delight to stay here at Pollock's.
Pollock's is a B&B in a great location and close to all the squash courts.

Apart from the cold water for the last of our large group, we had a lovely stay. We arrived quite late at Pollock's, but were nevertheless greeted by a very friendly hostess. Although our stay was short, it was great to sleep in a clean and neat place. Lovely garden setting.

Very nice spacious room with DStv and WiFi. Very pleasant host and wife. Very well located and I think it's quite safe. All that bothered me was the dirty kettle and bedding that was not 100% clean. The bacon and eggs were very oily. Maybe I'm hyper-critical, but I'm honest.
The couple was friendly and the breakfast is not bad. However, the carpet in the amber room stinks and the bathroom was not clean. For me a clean bed and bathroom are the most important things when I look for a place. The sleeper couch makes a squeaky noise. I wasn't even sleeping on it but I could still hear it.
Friendly service provided, and B&B in a safe and quiet area.

We had a lovely stay at Pollocks. Our hosts were friendly and very hospitable. We enjoyed hearty breakfasts in a private garden and the room and bathroom had everything you needed - from full DSTV, to a huge shower and beautiful linen.

We really enjoyed our stay. We don't want to complain but the sleeper coach was squeeky and noisy - suitable only for very small kids. The place also needs a serious dusting. Otherwise, very kind and nice owners, and lovely location.

Pollocks Family is a very fascinating family, full of cheerfulness,understanding and willing to help at all times, we felt as free as if we were at home. We enjoyed being here and will return in future should I need a booking in East London - theres no other place but Pollock!

We were warmly welcomed and we greatly appreciated the Pollocks' generous helpfulness and advice. Also, thoughtful little details such as the jug of fresh milk in the fridge and bowl of fruit. Our room was spacious and quiet with a little private patio. Lovely breakfast served in our room. A very convenient place to stay with easy access to the city and beach.
Rooms are spacious and very neat. A suggestion would be a small kitchen add to the room, which would make Pollocks ideal.
