The house was just right for us. The scenery was indescribable.
We were in heaven! Extremely well-equipped home in a stunning location. Fabulous views and great fishing at the dam. We especially loved the visiting Great Dane - we didn't feed him, don't worry! Will be back many times.

Fantastic location and accommodation.
Pomona Farm House is one of our favorite spots by far. They made an effort to make us feel welcome with flowers from the farm and a well-equipped house with a spot-on hot tub. It's the little things that matter, like the biscuits in the biscuit tin and the wood that's already packed for the fireplace, barbecue and hot tub. We had a nice walk on the farm and admired the flowers. Sorry we could only stay a quick weekend.
The owner was very accommodating to help with special arrangements prior to our arrival. They really have everything one needs already there for one's stay. Just need to bring with food and clothes. Beautiful proteas and other fynbos being farmed and a hiking trail through the wild fynbos on the farm. The communication before our arrival was great and we were made to feel very welcome from the start. They even left us a gift of flowers. It was a magical breakaway and we can't wait to return.
The host is absolutely friendly and gives you all the required information for a peaceful stay. The farm staff are friendly as well. My wife and I had a lovely stay and even extended it while there. Awesome facility, with spectacular views, lovely hiking trails, and a nice fire warmed hot tub to rest the muscles after the long walks, friendly people and the host is absolutely great.
Beautiful view and so peaceful. The owner went out of his way to have everything right. There was plenty of wood, we could sit in front of the fireplace all weekend. We were also treated to beautiful proteas in the house that we could take home. There were even toys and books for my two little girls, as well as a cupboard full of board games. We were also able to catch a quick dip in the KolKol hot tub when the weather allowed, lovely. Would really recommend this place and visit again.
What an incredible unforgettable experience. There are few things that are as close to the heart as a hot bath, a fireplace and a view that leaves you literally and figuratively among the clouds. My heart left with a lingering and rested delight. With the recollection of a wonderful rest behind me, I was able to take a gift of the most beautiful white proteas left for me and pack my apples for my hike in Piketberg. It was truly wonderful. Thank you for this grace period.
We had the pleasure of staying at Pomona for 3 days for our wedding anniversary and this was so amazing! I've never experienced a stay like this! This house has everything you can think of, even a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, board games and enough wood to last a lifetime! You literally just need your food and clothes. The host was so friendly and very informative and sent us all information before hand even info about the farmers market. I would definitely recommend and definitely return it! Mac, the 'horse', was always ready for a walk and looked after the children so well! House had everything we could need - dishwasher is a big plus! Enough wood to make a fire all day (inside or outside) and church with the farm people was a highlight. Do follow Rob's directions!

Pomona Farm House is the perfect weekend (or longer) getaway close to Paarl and Cape Town. Real old farmhouse feel, but with absolutely all the amenities one could ask for. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer are an absolute bonus, but very happy to see them there. Kitchen is equipped with the best appliances. Decent thin rimmed wine glasses! Bonus points! Fireplace in the living area was a winner. The star of the weekend was the outdoor "wood-fired hottub". Beautiful view of the protea farm. Nice place to walk on the farm and the surrounding area offers fantastic mountain bike routes. The host, Rob, was always available for help and assistance. The icing on the cake was that we could take all the bunches of proteas in the house with us when we checked out. One of the best weekend getaways ever!
From the moment you walk in the front door of this spacious farmhouse, you feel right at home. Everything you need is there, from board games to braai wood. The fireplace, hot tub, view from the front porch, walking trail, there are too many highlights to mention. Next time we bring all our friends to fill the house.
Everything you need for a nice break from busy life. Nice fishing, walking around and Kolkol wood fire hot tub was a winner. Would only suggest putting in conversion system for load shedding.
Pomona Farmhouse is a gem of a place we discovered on the mountain, outside Piketberg. The ride at the nice pace was already an indication that something special was waiting for us. Wonderful, spacious and safe accommodation, with everything one needs, and more! When we got there a fireplace was immediately lit for us. How hospitable it is that every room's heater is turned on for us. Outside, the Jacuzzi was already heated for us, and we could later sit in it and enjoy the scenery. The walking paths up the hills, and between the beautiful and neat protea gardens, was also a special experience. Here one truly finds rest for one's soul! So if you are looking for a place away from home, and that feels like "home", Pomona Farmhouse is the perfect choice!
We felt very safe and private with sufficient information regarding all operations and details would need our help. There was absolutely no shortage of anything and the workers were all very friendly and helpful. Pomona Farm House is the place to go if you need peace and quiet. Lovely family break on this beautiful farm. Rob is a great host - made us feel truly welcome. "Hot tub" and our friendly guest, Mac (Great Dane) kept the children busy. Everything we hoped for.

Too big for 2 people. Feeling a bit uneasy because the house is big but because it is a working farm everyone can walk around to the house as well. Security light kept coming on where we parked the car and I wasn't sure what was going on. But the host was very nice and accommodating even though we changed the 2 nights to 1.
We really enjoyed our stay at Pomona Farm House. The host welcomed us on arrival and was very friendly. The house was really clean and had everything we could've needed. We liked the working farm environment and managed to do a nice walk around the farm. There's also a cycling and 4x4 route. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Very interesting on a dynamic flower farm. Piketberg Mountain, with unique fynbos and great views is a real discovery to which we will definitely return. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable.
