Guests can choose between three beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. All accommodation is on a self-catering basis, with access to a shared kitchen equipped with a fridge, stove, oven and microwave, located downstairs. Washing and laundry facilities are available. DStv, secure parking, and complimentary Wi-Fi are also provided.
Nearby is Noordhoek Farm Village, where guests will find some of our local restaurants, delis, and pubs. Guests can also explore Fish Hoek Beach, two shopping centres, and Boulders Beach to swim or see the penguins.
Other local attractions nearby include Cape Point Nature Reserve, between Simonstown and Scarborough, Silvermine Nature Reserve, and the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive.

2.1. We remind our guests that Poplar Place is situated in a residential area and therefore need to be mindful of our neighbours regarding noise levels and behaviour that could cause a nuisance or disturbance to them, as well as other guests or occupiers at Poplar Place.
2.2. Quiet time is between 22h00 and 07h00. We ask our guests to be respectful of this time and to refrain from making excessive and unnecessary noise during this period.
2.3. No unauthorised guests will be allowed to overnight.
3. Cancellations:
3.1. Any cancellations will be in accordance with the cancellation policy of the booking platform that our guests have booked through.
4. Keys:
4.1. Please advise your host of your arrival time. Your host will meet you upon arrival and provide you with a set of keys for your accommodation.
4.2. On your departure, please advise your host that you wish to leave in order to return the keys.
4.3. Should there be a situation where your host is unable to receive you or see you off personally, arrangements will be made for the collection and return of the keys.
5. Cleaning Service:
5.1. Accommodation is cleaned prior to guests’ arrival and at the end of each guests stay.
5.2. Guests staying longer than a week will have their accommodation cleaned once a week, which includes a linen change and fresh towels.
5.3. Should a guest require fresh towels at any time or need a change of linen, we request that they contact their host to arrange this. We do, however, request our guests to be mindful of water usage.
5.4. There is a laundry washing facility for guest to use whilst staying at Poplar Place with a drying area, please ask your host to show you were this is if required.
6. Parking:
6.1. We have off street parking for guest’s vehicles to a max of three vehicles, one vehicle per room. Please park considerately and refrain from blocking your host’s garage door.
7. Pets:
7.1. Unfortunately, Poplar Place is not a pet friendly accommodation as we have pets of our own.
7.2. We request that you do not encourage or take our pets into your accommodation, nor feed them.
7.3. Should they enter your accommodation on their own accord, kindly advise your host to collect them, or you are welcome to usher them out gently.
7.4. No ill-treatment of our pets will be tolerated.
8. Swimming Pool:
8.1. The pool is there for our guests to enjoy, however, the facility is used at our guests own risk.
8.2. We caution against behaviour that could endanger any of our guests whilst using the pool and request that guests be respectful of other guests using the facility.
8.3. There is a pool cover on the pool for safety reasons as well as to prevent leaves from the Poplar trees from falling into the pool. Guest wanting to use the pool are welcome to remove the cover fully whilst in use. We do request that the last guest using the pool, before leaving the pool area, replace the net.
9. Smoking and Vaping:
9.1. Poplar Place is a smoke free accommodation and we request our guest, who do smoke or vape, to do so outside and not in the rooms or communal areas within the house.
9.2. Our guests are also requested to extinguish and discard their cigarette butts in the containers or ashtrays provided and not flick them over the fence or into the garden.
10. Valuables and firearms:
10.1. We request that our guests do not bring firearms onto the premises.
10.2. Each room has a small safe for guests to make use of to secure their valuables.
11. Breakages:
11.1. We understand that accidental breakages occur from time to time and we request that you kindly report any breakages that may have occurred during your stay at Poplar Place to your host. It will be the responsibility of our guests to either replace the broken item or be charged for the value of the item.
12. Disclaimer Clause:
12.1. Neither the owners of the property, nor Poplar Place (Pty) Ltd, its members or employees will be held liable for any injury incurred by a guest/s or visitor/s whilst on the premises, nor for any loss of or damage to any of the guest’s property or possessions.
