One of the most beautiful places. You cannot describe the silence and calmness. The staff were fantastic. It is a place just out of this world.
The staff were very warm and helpful. Thanks to all for making our stay memorable. Vegetarian meals were specially prepared for us. Much appreciated. The gardens were beautiful.
We had a wonderful overnight stay in the luxury suite and the next morning indulged in their wonderful breakfast that was included. Portland Manor is a beautiful place and highly recommended.
Fantastic location with heaps of potential but managed with too few people. One person is used for admin, chef and reception. Eat well.
I was the only guest so this possibly explained lack of staff in evidence. I had excellent service from the chef. I was the only guest so possibly this accounted for a lack of evidence of staff. The access road is very long and not an easy drive on a strip road, I wouldn't do it again. The dinner chef was excellent, bringing my evening meals to the small dining room next to my bedroom however the breakfast was very dissapointing (other staff). No fruit or juice, no yogurt, no cereals. Egg, bacon and a grilled vienna sausage. Toast (no sideplate the first morning) and a basket of small butters and jams.
