The stay was absolutely "stunning". No one would make a mistake staying there. Best of Both Worlds, one side is the town and the other side is the farm. Ideal for people who will enjoy the tranquility and the animals, sheep, horses, chickens etc. can see from the porch or to walk closer. We were kindly received and the rooms were really very neat and clean. For that price, you won't find such a nice place to stay anywhere else.

We will definitely stay at the accommodation again. Their hospitality and kindness made our stay very pleasant. They went out of their way to meet our every need. The unit is very neat and well equipped with everything needed for the tourist who prefers only limited self-catering. The location is excellent for visitors to the KKNK, as it is located close to one of the main access routes, but far enough from the festival grounds not to be prey to late night noise.

We once again had a very nice stay at Pretplaas Accommodation. Room A and its bathroom are very spacious. All that bothers is that it is not really set up to prepare food and wash dishes (only fridge and microwave with minimal breakware). But if you are prepared for it, it is a wonderful place to stay.

Accommodation was 350 m from our race venue, could walk there. We also got our girlfriend to do the booking alongside us. Clean, comfortable, good value, and private with secure off-street parking. The only two letdowns for us were the non-private toilet facility (no door, just a curtain) and the minimal self-catering facilities, i.e. only a microwave and kettle, but no other cooking facilities, and no kitchen sink.

Fun farm is one of those places. Where you just want to go again and again. My father-in-law had a saying that if you cut good wood in one forest, you stay in that forest. That's exactly how we feel about Pretplaas. Our spot at Pretplaas for our next visit has already been booked.

Neat, clean accommodation. Very practical detail such as plenty of multiplugs in easy to reach places to recharge your devices, enough space in the modern bathroom to put things down, enough space for towels to dry. Air conditioning! Big bonus after a hot day during the KKNK. Plenty of DStv channels for when you want to catch up on the news or seek other entertainment or distraction. Only improvements I can suggest are adding a door between the bathroom and room (we didn't notice the curtain in the photos) - and maybe a little more wardrobe space and more work surface in the kitchen nook. Maybe instead of the living room couch?

It would just be nice if there could be dinner plates, a butter knife, desert spoons and pesticide in the big room. There are flies and miggies that come into the room.

The cramped room allocated to us does not correspond at all to the published marketing. There is not even any place to hang clothes and to prepare food. So it's more like a very small hotel room! Not for more than a one night stay. Limited television (Openview?). Dysfunctional air conditioner (was pointed out, sic) for the extremely hot Oudtshoorn! We were lucky to get some cooler weather!
The room was not prepared for guests at all. Refrigerator was not switched on ahead of time. It was full of dust and cobwebs. There was only 1 towel even though I booked for 2 people. The kettle and microwave were dirty, full of dirty marks and the sheets were full of black dog hair. I was not at all impressed with the cleanliness and very disappointed.

Pretplaas is ideally located for a visit to Oudtshoorn and surrounding attractions. We were there for three nights and really appreciated that the hostess assigned us the largest of the three apartments. The apartment is spacious and private, but keep in mind that - as far as cooking is concerned - it is only equipped with the essentials for 2 people. We will definitely stay here again and recommend Pretplaas with confidence.

There were spider webs in the corners of the bathroom and when I unfolded the shower mat, a large Roman spider ran out of it.

Comfortable and tidy with a peaceful atmosphere. My recommendation is a double bed option and an air conditioner.
We had a pleasant stay overnight. It was Christmas Day and the hosts shared with us some excellent braaied snoek. She also directed us to the pharmacy to get medication for my wife who was suffering with her swelling feet. We had safe undercover parking overnight. Well worth an overnight stay.

The owners are very friendly, hospitable and helpful. The dogs and cats are just as friendly! The accommodation was spacious, clean and tidy. The decor is tasteful. The fresh milk and bottled water was a pleasant surprise. So is the rusk! Pretplaas is within walking distance of several restaurants. The garden in front of the unit is shady and offers a cool experience.

Very neat accommodation that is well located.
The accommodation is clean and tidy and very comfortable. It is also away from the noise of the centre of town and has a very quiet farm atmosphere, without having to drive unnecessarily far to shops or restaurants. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The lapa and the pool is a pleasant bonus. For the price of the accommodation it is excellent value for money and we strongly advise it and decided is as four-star accommodation. A full DStv package and air-conditioning would, in our opinion, make the accommodation five-star, but then unnecessarily require a higher rate. However, the fan in the room was quite sufficient for the 39-degree temperature of the two days we stayed there. There is also a heater for the cold Karoo evenings. We will undoubtedly book it again in the future and will not even look further than Pretplaas.

There was an old, hard piece of mince pie in the microwave when we wanted to reheat takeaways. Braai area was also not clean, entrance to our unit was also very dusty. No mop to clean floors with. Had to wash our coffee cups and glasses in bathroom, which is not hygienic at all. DStv only had SABC 1, 2, 3 and eTV.
We stayed at Pret Plaas on our way to Cape Town for 2 nights. We enjoyed it very much. Sonica and her husband are two awesome people. We immediately felt at home. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home, without being a bother. Two friendly and hardworking people. The room is clean and tidy. We also spent the night there on the evening of December 7th. Booked by my daughter. All I can say is I can advise anyone to stay there.
