Prickly Pear was a pleasant surprise with all the necessary amenities, tastefully rounded off. We really appreciated the special welcome with fresh flowers and snacks. We would love to stay there again and recommend it to any traveller. Sophia was also very nice and helpful.
Sophia goes above and beyond! Visiting Murraysburg was an adventure in itself. The quaint little room is well-equipped and beautifully decorated. Will definitely visit again on our way down to WC.

Prickly Pear Boutique Guesthouse was a refreshing sanctuary to stay at. The moment you set foot into this place, you feel welcome and relaxed. The decor is done with so much care and attention to detail, you cannot help yourself but click away for your own collection of photos. Luxury is stamped all over this place but in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. You are welcomed with some snacks and cold drinks in the fridge. A variety of coffee options with delicious rusks for breakfast, which is convenient if you need to get on the road early again. We ordered supper and it was beyond generous portions with a wide variety, a lovely home-cooked meal. And Sophia, what an absolute lovely host, your warm welcoming personality will linger long afterwards with any guest. Very friendly and helpful, thank you, Sophia. You cannot help yourself but love this place with an urge to return at the next available opportunity.
A delicious baked bun with real butter and homemade jam waiting for you is a good indication of the commitment to heartiness and general style of a beautiful place. Exceeded expectations!
We really enjoyed our stay at Prickly Pear, Sophia was incredibly hospitable and welcomed us and also our pet children with open arms. Enough space and also safe for pets. The guest house is incredibly beautiful/modern and makes for a nice experience in the beautiful Karoo!
Our host was amazing. She was always on hand to assist with any queries we had and was really friendly. The unit was tastefully designed with top-of-the-range appliances, and the beds were really comfortable and helped with a good night's rest.

Prickly Pear House has been recently updated and it truly looks just like the photos. It's a big surprise to see what has been achieved with an old place. The hostess is incredibly friendly and was in contact with us the whole time. We enjoyed dinner and it was a huge plate of food that we couldn't finish.

Accommodation was top notch.
We stayed one night while passing through. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as the unit is beautifully decorated and everything looks new and clean. There was an honesty bar in the fridge with drinks, cooldrink and water which was handy as it meant we didn't have to stop at a garage shop in the morning on the way out wasting travel time. Sophia was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Aircon was a saving grace as it was hot!
