We were met and received so hospitably! The place is beautifully furnished and we had a wonderful stay! I can recommend it especially to contractors working in the area!
We always enjoy our stay at Private Apartments. It's 7km away from Menlyn Mall, the apartment is spotless and comfy. The landlord is extremely friendly, keeps us up to date with any issues and is prompt in handling any situation. I will always recommend booking with Private Apartments.

The intercom button didn't work. I had to phone Private Apartments to enter. Not a big issue though.
First of all, it was difficult to get an answer because no one answered the doorbell until after I called. Our room was not ready yet. It was neat and clean. At 12 midnight there was a great uproar and noise from the room next door. We found out the next morning that it was some of the staff that was making so much noise. There was no coffee or tea in our room for the next morning. On enquiry, the person said she forgot to put it in our room. No generator. I think if you want to provide a decent service you have to have standby power in SA. Would not recommend it.

Second night there were other guests who were a disturbance until two in the morning.
Well located from where you can visit any area in the east.
Will only put in black out curtains, and the fridge made a lot of noise, quite annoying if you want to sleep as it is open plan. But for 1 night it was ok.
Reception poor, with no knowledge of our reservation from lady who finally opened the gate. No mention of steep stairs to the particular room. Furniture old and neglected. No soap or cream available. Bed and bedding good quality, neat, clean and comfortable. Heater not always available as advertised. Bathroom very small.
Window and curtains were dirty and very dusty. Think they can provide coffee, tea, sugar and milk.
We really enjoyed our visit there. We were greeted kindly, my car was safe behind a barred gate, and our room was clean and tidy. Thank you for your trouble with us! Will see you again soon.

Friendly and helpful staff. WiFi works well and it's quiet at night, when you want to sleep.
However, we expected the fare to include milk and also small containers of toiletries. Fortunately, there were nearby shops where we could purchase them.

The place is nice and clean. The customer service was very good.
Neat, well equipped and friendly service. I booked a family room (on the ground floor) and then I got a balcony family room (on the first floor). Information on stairs to apartments is not clear on the website. The TV in Lover's Nest didn't work but it didn't matter to us. Shower in family room with balcony needs a new drain pipe cover.

Comfortable rooms, clean, tidy and modern. Check in was easy with Duncan on site. Each room is given a separate set of keys. One can come and go as one pleases. The place is central and whether you want to go to Centurion or Hatfield you are right in the middle. Close to the N1 so getting there, or Uber from place to place is convenient.

Because I have Hospitality as part of my Business Studies, I am very critical, but we were very impressed with the place. We felt very welcome when we were kindly received by Duncan. This is our second visit and we were once again pleasantly surprised by the neat and spacious room. The furniture is tasteful, the king-size bed is very comfortable and the mattress is firm. The TV and relevant channels plus Wi-Fi are all we need. The Wi-Fi reception is always good, fast and the key details are on the fridge door. Security is excellent and parking of vehicles is behind the steel gate. The area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. No early morning disturbance by cars. It is the ideal environment for people who seek silence and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle. Yet it is very close to shops and eateries. Very good value for money. We got more than we expected. Definitely recommend for the person who doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg. At the end of the year I am thinking of staying over for a longer time than just one or two nights.

Parking a bit difficult with a large Hilux van. Everything clean and very tidy. Bed is wonderfully large and sleeps very well. Fridge and kettle make accommodation very comfortable. Neighbors can do something about the barking dog, a big annoyance. Still, I recommend it.

Plekkie is basically, self-catering, open-plan setup. Room and facilities not very extravagant, but still tidy. All that is needed for self-catering, but the area is located very close to Elardus businesses for eating out or placing orders. Sleeping facilities (bed and linen) were of very good quality and very tidy. Cupboard doors in booked apartments need handyman's attention. Common maintenance, such as crooked cupboard doors that immediately catch a visitor's attention, does not seem to be noticed. Nevertheless, everything is above average, for costs that are charged, and for which a rebate was still granted.

If the garden and braai area area is renovated it will be a great improvement. Ashtray full of stumps in front of our door put me off a lot, furthermore the place gives good value for money.

For our purpose of our visit, the location was absolutely adequate. Close enough to the airport as well as shopping centers and our appointment venue. And yet we were unaware of the hustle and bustle of city traffic. Would recommend Private Apartments to anyone looking to self-catering. Well Done.
Can highly recommend overnight stay.
We booked Friday morning for Friday night. Was able to pay the deposit until 7pm that night, must have been a mistake, but when we got there they weren't aware of our booking. Was then accommodated in another unit. So couldn't get the unit overlooking the pool. Would love it because it was lunar eclipse. I read the previous reviews and was aware that fresh milk was not available, collected our own. But everything else was nice and I can confidently recommend it to anyone.

The room was the coolest place in terribly hot Pretoria. The bed is definitely not of this planet. If you have any trouble sleeping this is the bed to be on. Everything was definitely perfect for us.
We needed accommodation for only one night, and we had to visit a few different places. Private Apartments were centrally located for all our destinations, so ideal for our overnight stay. Janine was very helpful in that we wanted to check in earlier, as our first excursion would already start at 12:00. Duncan quickly settled us in and we could relax knowing that everything was ready for when we returned. The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable, and everything is in working order. We will definitely use the facilities again and will also recommend them to friends and family.

Everything was lovely and clean and the garden area was peaceful with plenty of shade. It was a convenient location in respect of where we wanted to get to from there. On the negative side, the sheets had a perfumy smell to them (I would have preferred a 'normal' smell) as I could smell them during the night. One of the main gates must have been left open all night by one of the other occupants as when I got up at 05:30 am and went outside, the gate was wide open. Unfortunately, the noise from highway traffic was quite loud - but that is not their fault, it would be the same anywhere that is close to main roads.

The Lovers Nest needs either an extractor fan or a window. The general stay was nice, short work here and there, but nice stay and not bad at all for a new institute.
The reception was friendly. Everything was clean and tidy. When the shower faucet gave problems at ten o'clock in the evening, the owner repaired it immediately.
I am disappointed. We arrived at 22:00. Janine was there to unlock for us, but we couldn't even have a cup of coffee. We had to drive back to a 24h shop to get coffee and milk. Sorry for my honesty. If I had known that there would be no coffee, we would have gone together. It just wasn't the quality of the other 3 times for me.

Our accommodation was unbeatable and we couldn't fault anything. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy when we got there. The owner Janine was very friendly when she received us and showed us our place. It was wonderfully quiet there and we felt safe at all times. We were able to park our car safely behind a high fence where it was also safe. The WiFi was perfect. We just think Janine could keep a better quality of coffee in the rooms, but that in no way changed our nice and good experience of Private Apartments. I would recommend it to anyone, and if we come to Pretoria next time, we would like the same room please. Thank you Janine.

Didn't check in until after 5 in the afternoon and straight after went to friends for dinner. Back again late. Service was excellent and friendly. Apartment neat and clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Janine is always friendly and patient and we always get a neat, clean place with everything we need; spacious rooms, safe with security gates in front of the bedrooms and our cars. Only security issue is the large windowns without any burglar bars - only the windows that open have burglar bars, nowadays, considering the crime rate, it's not good enough.
The apartment was very clean and neat. Staff was very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable without making a nuisance of themselves. Location was perfect with easy access to the main roads.

We had a great stay, bed sleeps well, hot water in the shower, lots of space in our unit. Wanted to use the oven pan, but it was unusable and fridge very old, door doesn't close tightly, but it was usable. We must have been pretty close to the highway because the traffic noise (trucks brakes) was quite disturbing, but I would give it an 8 out of 10. With some changes (tight curtains for noise) and an oven pan it can be changed to 10 out of 10. Big plus is that these are non-smoking units, although guests do smoke poolside - would prefer a private smoking area. Had to remove myself from the environment because I'm allergic.

They provide all your basic needs, and are clean and tidy. All negative is that they only provided coffee for the first morning. Maybe forget it.
For our purpose it was ideal to stay there. We had no problem, except that the dog poop was a bit of a bother and that there was no doormat to wipe feet...especially when it was raining outside. There was a gas heater, but the gas had run out. It's all little things and I will stay there again.
Tremendous road noise from the N1 highway, keeps you awake. Double bed is against the wall, so I had to get out of bed every time my wife wanted to get up. Faucet in bathroom sink runs with a very thin stream. It takes forever to fill the sink. The last morning there was no hot water, we had to shower in ice cold water!
