My little one enjoyed the play area very much. Very convenient having a coffee shop on the premises. We travelled with a trailer and could park it right in front of our unit. Very clean and safe. Thank you.
The place was phenomenal with ample activities for kids yet peaceful enough for the adults. Profcon is located in a secure area, a great getaway from the hustle and pollution of daily city life. This was definitely worth our money; love this place.

Wonderlik - great location.
We had a pleasant stay, apart from the matric farewell party they had, which will most probably not always be the case. It served the purpose. It was a lovely halfway stop, and we had some much-needed rest and sleep to continue the rest of the journey the next morning.
We slept very well.
I was looking for a place for my 4 builders at the last minute. Profcon Resort helped immediately and on request I also arranged for my people to check in later than the allowed time. It was no problem, and they were greeted kindly, and will stay there again for sure. Parking is secure and the area is quiet and very safe.

We enjoyed our stay at Profcon Resort. It was secure and offered multiple play areas and different play equipment. Our cottage did not have a lounge, which could be a problem in winter, but luckily we could sit outside. It was exactly as portrayed on the site, and we will stay there again. Exactly as expected and excellent value for money.

What a beautiful place. Now this is a sleepover I will advertise. It is a real oasis. Very neat and clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The website can freely make their reservations there. My 6-year-old granddaughter had a great time playing in the 2 playgrounds with trampolines, climbing frames, swings and more, jumping on bouncy castles and swimming. A paradise for children.

Everyone was so amazing! We arrived early and they did everything to accommodate us! It's an awesome safe space for kids and parents to relax! We walked to restaurants which was a bonus.
Perfect overnight destination on the way from the Eastern Cape to Gauteng. Sufficient parking. Pet friendly. Lovely play areas for children of all ages. Large open area where our children could ride bikes. The pool was a wonderful experience on a hot summer day. Unit neatly and adequately furnished. AC and fan were great.

It is a real gem in the Karoo. It was incredibly peaceful. With Justin who came to warn us that our vehicle's tire was flat and then changed the tire very quickly. Justin and the other staff are a real asset to Profcon.
Maybe get more things for kids 10-15yrs to do.
What a wonderful experience for a country town. I'm not always crazy when people move me around to other units, but with Profcon the "move" was one of the best decisions they made in my absence. We will have to come back, not only for the town, but also for the surrounding area. And of course we will stay in Profcon!
The perfect place for a quick stopover on the way to the sea. Really cute furnished with everything needed. Equipped for self-catering as well as a comfortable restaurant if you prefer. Safe and adequate parking. I would definitely stay there again. We also visited the breathtaking rock formations at the Valley of Desolation.

Was without power due to a storm, then from 17:00-19:30 due to loadshedding and then on for ± 30 minutes and then we were without power until the next morning, but they make an effort with people. There are lights for power that are off, there is a gas stove inserted just for the purpose. The hostess and receptionist were there from the moment we arrived to ask if they could do anything for us/facilitate. Even the next morning at 06:00 she was there again to explain that trees had fallen on power lines and that they were working on it and if she could bring coffee. Truly outstanding!

Breakfast was already requested two weeks in advance, but when we arrived for breakfast on Sunday morning we were told they do not serve breakfast on Sundays unless arranged in advance. However, they did not tell me this in advance.

Even though there was load-shedding twice during our stay, there was an emergency lamp for light. Our receptionist explained to us exactly how the whole system works during load-shedding. Preparedness, kindness and absolute competence is all I can say.

We arrived later than expected, but were kindly received and taken to our rooms. Parking was secure and rooms were neat, clean and all in good working order. The children's playground is 5-star!

Perhaps owners can invest in a generator or inverter to sort out the water pump system unit. It was a problem when there was no water when we got up. Loadshedding was longer than planned.

The only issue I had was the beggars at the entrance who followed my daughter and I all the way around town when we went for a walk to explore. They wait directly outside the door to the resort.

We had a great time with our 5 year old daughter at Profcon, staying at the Daisy Cottage. This was perfect for us, since the cottage was situated a bit away from the rest, and was directly in front of the jungle gym area, and at the back there is a bike path. The jungle gym has swings, foofie slides, balance beams, etc. There is even a mini golf course! The bike path has little stops, and you will even see little ducks and chickens interrupting. A coffee shop for the parents and swimming pool for the hot days. To top it all off, they were very friendly and caring. Just perfect.
Accommodating, friendly staff to assist as my husband is wheelchair bound. Need to take the fairy with that does the dishes when I am out visiting all the attractions.

Due to the death of a family member, we were fewer people than we had booked before. Profcon adjusted our accommodation and as a result the price was also less. That speaks of good customer service. The units are also well equipped and tidy. We will definitely stay there again!

After a long drive, the children had a great time playing on the playground with variety! They were in the clouds and the next morning we drove later and enjoyed breakfast in the garden with a view over the hill, just so they could play before the rest of the long road! Good value for money!
Our recommendation for Fiddlewood would be that there can only be one extra bathroom. 7 people in one house with one bathroom became too much after the 2nd day.

In the cottage we were in, the shower didn't have a shower head and the water doesn't mix.
Lots of noise from other residents. Shower floor extremely slippery and poses a risk of falling.

We stayed at Profcon twice - on our way down to Cape Town on holiday and again on our way back to Gauteng 2 weeks later. We were so impressed with the accommodation during our first overnight stay, that we decided to also book there for our return trip. The second sleepover was even better than the first! Profcon's staff are very professional and helpful! The units are extremely clean, tidy and exceptionally well equipped - with even more than I expected. Crisp white fresh linen, good quality towels, large selection of crockery, a handy packet of milk, coffee and sugar for each unit, air conditioning, very secure parking, a small shop in the resort and breakfast available if preferred. Large play park for children, pit-pit track, swimming pool and also good facilities for campers & caravans, etc. Definitely an oasis to sleep in after a long day on the road!

We had a lovely 2 days at Profcon Cottages. We were upgraded to a larger unit for no extra charge, which made it very convenient for us with our 2 year old. The service was unsurpassed, the staff friendly and the apartment spotlessly clean. Our little girl enjoyed the play park for hours and we also enjoyed the pool just before the thunder and rain came. Will definitely stay here again if we are looking for a place to stay in Graaff-Reinet again.

We did not expect this type of accommodation in the center of Graaff Reinet. Although there are several units and campsites on the small resort, it is peaceful and you do not get a feeling of overcrowding in any way, despite the fact that almost all the units and campsites were fully booked. We lived in the Rose Cottage which is extremely neat and well equipped.
Besides the swimming pool, there was plenty of entertainment for the children (bouncy castles, putt putt and unlimited internet with Netflix and DStv). The rooms were spacious, covered parking and safe. Breakfast was delicious.
Good value for money, comfortable and tidy. Cute space for kids to play. We didn't use it because we used it as an overnight stop on our trip, but you can even stay a little longer. Our only problem was that our unit smelled a bit like smoke, but I didn't check in my reservation if the units were smoking or non-smoking.

It wasn't the first time we stayed at Profcon and it won't be the last either. Profcon is very central and secure. We checked in a little earlier on request and it wasn't a problem. We also ordered breakfast food packages and they were delivered to our unit on time on the Saturday morning. The staff are friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

Profcon has always been one of my most favorite overnight spots. And would happily recommend it. The Android box (for Netflix) is a great idea and adds value, but unfortunately the poor internet speed (free Wifi) almost undoes it as the speed is so low as to be unusable. If the internet speed was better I would not hesitate to give Profcon a 5 star rating. Clean, spacious, tidy, with air conditioning and very friendly staff. Profcon will see me again for sure.

After a long journey through the karoo, the accommodation was wonderful. We were also recommended to a place to eat which was exceptional. Will go back there anytime.

It was my first time in Graaff Reinet. I'm sorry I was only there for a day, the staff went out of their way to make things comfortable for us. Looking forward to a return.
The accommodation is clean and safe, but there is no potable water in the taps. The kettle and some water left in the fridge is too little for a family of 4 for one evening. There is virtually no water pressure in the shower, and basically impossible to rinse soap off your body. If they can solve the problem with a pressure pump, I can recommend them to friends with a clear conscience.
Property is well maintained and is centrally located in Graaff-Reinet.
During our stay the daytime temperature was almost 40 degrees. The pool was lukewarm. Enjoyed a delicious meal at Cold Stream restaurant. Would recommend the stay.

We were surprised when we saw the lovely spacious room with typical old high ceilings which immediately softened the heat of the day. The door to the porch was a bonus and we enjoyed coffee and biscuits first thing in the morning on the porch like the old people did years ago while you looked at the passersby and greeted everyone. The staff were very helpful and gave us brochures about the town visit points.

We arrived at Prof-con late in the evening, but still received prompt and friendly service. Got a bigger room which was closer to the gate due to we arrived late and it didn't cost us anything extra. It was very clean and tidy and fully equipped (coffee, milk, sugar, stove/oven, fridge, air conditioning, TV, etc.). Very satisfied and would stay there again.
The type of accommodation suits us 100%. Everything you need is there. From parking at your chalet to everything you can think of. The hostess also provided us with valuable information about the town.

The service was very good and we were in our room within 20 minutes. They even had a baby bed ready for our youngest and it was clean and tidy. The fridge had a little milk and cold water in it and enough room to put our road food in for tomorrow. The one piece of discomfort was that our room's (zebra) air conditioning did not work at all. It was 33°C in the evening 00:00 and even with the air conditioning at 16°C it made no difference. The heat made it a very uncomfortable nap. There was nothing wrong with the room/linen/bed and bathroom. Beautifully clean and spacious.

We have mixed feelings about ProfCon. The accommodation is old, but very neat and clean and that's absolutely the most important thing. Our unit was perhaps not the best located with a lot of movement around which was a bit annoying in the mornings. We would also have appreciated it if we had been forewarned that there would be 2 major functions.
Outside lights burning all night were also extremely bad for sleeping.
After a day's travel it is pleasant to come home to an excellent accommodation place and to experience good and friendly service.

We were kindly received and expected on our reservation. The place is easy to find and clearly marked. The buildings have been carefully designed while retaining the character of the original houses. There is cheaper accommodation in town, but the location in a good part of town is worth the premium. The site is child friendly with a lovely play park and swimming pool. We also felt private and we were taken care of with room service. Everything was there if we wanted to do self-catering, such as stove, microwave oven, toaster, cutlery and barbecue area. Be sure to arrange in advance for late (after 10) arrivals.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The area is nice and quiet and we were close to all the attractions and places to eat. We would stay there again anytime.
For us old people it was busy, especially on Saturday. Honeymoon cottage spacious, but time for new furniture and especially mattress.
The stay was nice. The aircon helped a lot with the heat. The beds could use their attention pretty much already slept in and pillows were very soft.
Had a great stay, was just too short. Children would be able to stay and play for another week. Swimming pool a bit small for everyone who wanted to swim but peaceful resort with helpful people.

Our children really enjoyed the climbing frames and putt-putt, and they always want to spend the night there from now on. The room was clean and tidy, but it could use a bit of redo - some of the finishes are very old, and you can tell it has been used by many people - especially the bathroom. The gate behind which we parked is difficult to open and close, can do with a remote control and automatic function. However, the above is positive criticism, we had a very nice stay and will definitely stay there again.

After 10 hours on the road it was a lovely treat in clean, tidy and safe accommodation.
It was a stopover from JHB to Hartenbos. We got there at lunchtime, had a nice walk around the village and then the children played at Profcon's very large children's playground all afternoon. In the evening, all the guests and owner had a barbecue together. Very nice place. Perfect for family - kids are 3 and 5.

Was very satisfied with the service we received during our stay. Staff helpful, we had a problem with petrol shortage about 50 km before Graaff-Reinet and they rushed to our aid to bring petrol in jugs. Hot water in the unit was a problem but we were given an extra key to another unit where we could take a lovely shower. The place is very peaceful and we had a great time. Will recommend to all future renters.

Even though the place was clean and neat (good location in town) - it wasn't really what we expected. Parking is a nightmare (especially if you have a trailer). We stayed in the "Marula Room". There are 2 parking spaces outside the room (one for each of the rooms there) but it is tiny and not easy to get in and out. I wil recommend the place, but not one of the two rooms we booked.
Great for a stop over, did not really care for the decor, but that is personal taste. The bedding and pillows could have been better, but there are fantastic amenities for the kids and well situated for most of the Graaff Reinet attractions.
With all the previous reviews, we expected better from Profcon. The breakfast was good and met my expectations. However, the quality of the room was not good. The plank floor cracks a lot. When you have to go to the toilet at night you wake up your partner.
The family unit is an old house that has been renovated. Spacious rooms with airconditining. The bathroom is small, but sufficient. House was very neat and clean. Nice space for children to play around in, and a swimming pool. Walking distance from town and restaurants. Good security and friendly reception on our arrival. Would like to return.

We have only good things to say about Profcon's staff and premises. It was very neat, clean and peaceful. One could get a good night's rest there with no worries about your car parked outside because everything is under lock and key. The "Fern" unit's layout is poor and inconvenient. The toilet is in a passage. The fridge, water tap, grocery cupboard and sink are at the far end of the aisle while the cooking appliances and table are at the other end.
The place is a bit neglected.
Although we made a reservation for a room with bathroom, the receptionist was kind enough to upgrade our accommodation for the Saturday night, at the same cost as there was availability. We really appreciated it because she was sensitive that the noise of the wedding guests might disturb us. Thank you very much for your personal touch!

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in the Butterfly Cottage. The rooms are well furnished, very comfortable and clean. The main bathroom is superb with the second one being a little on the small side but still functional. We missed having a lounge but the kitchen and patio made up for it. We asked reception to recommend a restaurant and were told that the Polka Restaurant was only two blocks away so it was within walking distance. We had a most enjoyable meal there in their "secret garden". We had a very comfortable stay at Profcon and will definitely not just overnight next time we visit.
Would recommend anyone to stay at Profcon. The place is an oasis in a desert. My two little ones thoroughly enjoyed them while my husband and I were at the rally. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and had the best peaceful stay for value for money.
