The unit features an open-plan kitchen equipped with a two plate gas stove, kettle, anf a fridge. There is alos a living, and dining area with a built-in pizza oven and fireplace/braai. A smart TV with all DStv channels and unlimited WiFi is provided.
Guests have access to a shared covered lapa, a rock pool, and secure covered parking. There is also a children's play area and lush green lawns where children can play. The farm and surrounding area offer a variety of activities including safe and private walking and jogging trails in the natural forest and on the farm, rowing boat, mountain biking trails, picnic spots, fishing, golf, and swimming beaches. Our stay was absolutely amazing. We haven't had such an amazing break away in a while. The views of the sun rising were absolutely amazing. Elize is such a gem, friendly and so welcoming. Her thoughtfulness in the little welcome gifts absolutely stole our hearts. We will definitely be visiting again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. What an idyllic getaway in the most beautiful setting.
Our visit was fantastic. Elize is a wonderful hostess and quickly made us feel welcome. The fresh "scon" with butter and jam and a welcome sign was special. Elize definitely thought of everything to make the visit unforgettable. From games and sports equipment for the children, the picnic area by the stream to sawdust to throw the mud at the pond. The Forest walk is breathtaking and will definitely visit in the summer to frolic in the stream. Thank you very much for sharing the nature, farm and silence with others.
This is the most beautiful place. The host goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home. There is nothing more you could ask for.
We stayed in the most beautiful stone cottage at the foot of the Outenikwa mountains for 2 nights. Elize, our hostess, was very friendly and helpful. Even gave us 4 large freshly baked chocolate muffins on our arrival, delicious. We were 3 adults, one 9 year old boy and 2 dog kids in a 2 bedroom cottage. The braai facilities are fantastic and each cottage has its own secluded lawn where the dogs can frolic. The hiking trails on the farm leave you gasping for breath, not because they are difficult, but because they set the tone for nature so beautifully. We can't wait to visit again.
Absolutely amazing, such a warm welcome from the owner. Her attention to detail was spot on. Welcomed by fresh flowers, homebaked bread, butter and jam. Our visit to the milk factory was definitely a highlight for our 9-year-old. We certainly would highly recommend this home away from home experience.
Lovely getaway to a beautiful cottage on a farm. The hospitality of the hostess, Elize, was exceptional and she was very accommodating and helpful. My husband visited the nearby golf courses and I took advantage of the excellent WiFi to work. The cottage is well equipped and cozy. Private braai facilities and the soothing sound of the pool water make this a real escape from city life.
It was absolutely lovely staying at Prospect Farm. Thank you very much for your hospitality and all the treats in the cottage. We will definitely come again! The muffins with jam and cheese that welcomed us were delicious!

We enjoyed our break away from city life. The farm was peaceful and the scenery breathtakingly beautiful. There are only two cottages on the farm that accommodate 4 people each. We felt like we were there on our own as a family and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The kids enjoyed the pool and the games that the hosts had at the farm. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience. There was WiFi for the children to enjoy and a full DSTV package for my husband and son to enjoy the sports channel while we were there.
It was nice to be able to be calm and switch off. Thanks for even the Father's Day treat! We will definitely come again.
