We were only there for one night, the hostess is very nice and made us feel very welcome. The price matches the accommodation you get.

No generator. We pay for aircon but power was off most of the nights. Shower didn't work. Manager / owner very incompetent on the phone. Also had trouble getting into gate on arrival and was told to go find caretaker across the street. Cobwebs everywhere inside. Coffee petrified and could not use any of it. Definitely would not recommend. First time we have such experience with website.
We had a good stay friendly staff and the place is extremely clean.

Slept well. Students were a bit noisy from one o'clock in the morning.
Protea Huis is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, due to the quietness of the area. Though we had issues with privacy, because of the housekeepers constantly entering and leaving as they please, but besides that I would definitely recommend it to people.
Beautiful house with unique architectural style. Fully equipped rooms and living areas. Pool table and pool was a pleasant surprise. The air conditioning with remote control needs repairs, as well as better quality cushions.
Everything was alright, I just didn't get the chance to be shown around because the staff member had already knocked off.
The main gate entrance is a hassle to get in and out of. The lock is small and can be easily clipped off. Hijacking and robbery are therefore possible especially because you have to get out of your car to open the gate in a poorly lit street. We suggest that you put in an electric motor for the gate please. Will check in there again for reasonable price, provided gate has remote. Thank you all.
We slept there for 2 nights and the room was not cleaned the first day. The owners should invest in a new bed and a shower.
