The location was perfect for my needs as I had to take a family member to Queenstown Life Hospital for treatment. The friendly, caring staff made our stay very pleasant. Will definitely recommend it.
The faucet in the bath leaks non-stop and spills an awful lot of water. Notice on the shower door urges tourists to save water urgently. How can one do this with a bathtub faucet that cannot close. Her request for a plumber to repair falls on deaf ears. Sympathize with her powerlessness. Second, the generator for emergency power is right under the bathroom window. No one can stand it with so much noise in your room. Couldn't the thing be more strategically placed? Origen very satisfied with the rest.
Comfortable room. Generator on during load shedding. No check out details given. My chosen room was already booked upon my arrival. Check in could have been better. When I arrived, a school going learner mentioned to me that there was no booking under my last name, however her diary was at the wrong date and she did not know what the date was. Finding the reservation we went to room 5 but it was locked. I then had to wait half an hour for her grandmother to come back. On arrival I was told that unfortunately room 5 was already booked and someone was already in there. I was given options of two other rooms. The room was comfortable and everything was available as with the one I booked. However, Afrikaans was not spoken as it says on the website. The generator was on for the period of load shedding which helped a lot. However, no check out details were given, I also knocked on the door twice the next morning but unfortunately no answer.
The veins are very dodgy and in an area my husband just said here it is not safe. We didn't sleep here at all and had to look for a new place to stay in a hurry.
Great room, has everything one needs for an overnight short stay, very clean and neat, ports for charging next to the bed, really easy to get to, the parking area is a bit small if one has a big vehicle or a trailer.
Elegance with so much added value. Communication was unbeatable. The beds, the linen, the cleanliness, the friendly welcome only added to the "wow" factor.
After staying one night at protea place I wished that I could spend the rest of my holidays there.
It is a quiet place when one needs some time away.
A matter of opinion, but we were not happy with the area. No problem with the house! Please stay there. Florence took a good look at us!
