Our expectation was exceeded. Neat, safe and nice hot water after a day in the mountains. We will definitely go again!
We had a great time staying, visiting and resting!
The house suited our needs with all the facilities required for a breakaway, far from the madding crowds. Located up on a mountain slope and in the forest, a truly tranquil site with good bird life that kept us busy with the cameras. A place for down-to-earth people who are not fuss pots. The kids really loved it and went on some of the walking trails in Monks Cowl. Forget about mountain bikes in this area, you will have to go down into the valley for that.
Amazing walks and trails.
What a lovely place in the basin of the mountains. Lots of hiking and climbing places. Lovely forests and fields full of plants. House furnished with everything needed. Wish the stay was closer to Pretoria to be able to relax there more times.
Affordable accommodation in a great location. For more than one or two people, catering/cooking isn't that great, unless you braai every day.
I love the location, the peace and quiet, the beauty of the Berg, and the simplicity of the cottage. I'll be back!

Such amazing hikes and trails to be done.
The location is beautiful. Waking up with this dawn chorus, so full of life and vibrancy. A true way to connect with nature. So well situated to go hiking up into the berg.
Beautiful house in the middle of the tree-rich area. The cottage is well equipped with everything you would need to prepare food. The place needs some renovation.
Pumuleni is beautiful! From the first moment it felt like we were walking into a friend's house. A better location cannot be found. The cottage is very private and all you hear are birds and sun bugs. I was hesitant to book because the photos of the cottage didn't give enough information, but after experiencing the peace in Pumuleni, I can't wait to go back. We immediately went for a walk and the forest and streams let the tension fall off us. Ideal for bird watching, there are also plenty of books for identification. Better value for money is simply not available. Judith sent all necessary information and kindly made us feel welcome. There was no chance for a personal meeting, but it felt like we were communicating with a friend.
Location superb. In a forest up in the berg. House provides all the basics to stay and bird life special. Good place if you love nature more than TV.
