Fantastic wonderful experience. Very surprised at all the lions and how different their roars were. The tent unit opposite lion camp 5 star. Everything you need is there, neat and clean.

Very hospitable, make sure to drive. The road we drove was very bad and left me on the side of the road with a flat tire. Uncle Tooi from the farm came to help me, so helpful. Saw many many lions, right at our shower.

We enjoyed the stay, but we would have liked to have known in advance that the chalet is against a large visiting area where 2 other chalets basically have priority. There was a family group that booked the rest of the stay, and our chalet was in the corner next to it, and we struggled to be alone and quiet without the group that basically dominated our stay. The kids did have fun playing with them on the big lawn, but it took away family time from us, and if we had known it was so against each other we would have chosen another place to go instead. It's ideal for large groups, but not located for privacy.
Puruma Pride Lion Park is a very beautiful place for a peaceful getaway. I would recommend it anytime. Salome is very friendly and an excellent hostess.

The lions were breathtaking to hear the sounds and roars here right next to you! Wow. My husband and I want to say a big thank you to everyone there and you are great. Clean and tidy, appreciated the friendly welcome and then we had space to come and go as we needed.
It was really an extraordinary experience. The Chalet is clean, tidy and bigger than expected. Made a lovely campfire. And listened to the roar of the lions. Was excellent.
Excellent destination for a break from the modern day hustle and bustle.
The lions you can see for what you pay are a fraction of the costs at other similar destinations. The accommodation is also exactly what the photos show.
I didn't even set up my tent. The campsite's dirt and thorns are definitely not a place to go camping with your caravan or tent. I only saw 2 lions. The swimming pool is far away from the campsite. The dirt road is a no-go, 18 km of corrugated iron, everything rips loose on your vehicle. Won't go again, not even for free.
The people are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The animals are well cared for and the camps are clean. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back again. It was an incredible experience to be woken up by the roar of lions. You are sitting on your porch and looking at a lion 5 meters away from you. The hospitality and customer service is amazing.

What an experience to be so close to nature is a great privilege. The lion camp with the most beautiful lions right by safari tents where you sit on your porch and watch them drink water. Their roar is probably the most beautiful sound early in the morning. It was wonderful, we would recommend any one if you want to get away in nature. The staff is very friendly and helpful, thank you Salome.

What a lovely getaway; units are clean and tidy; meals are particularly delicious; friendly and hospitable people; a special experience to be so close to the lions in the wild. The night's rest with roaring lion and howling fox sounds was also a special experience; will definitely visit again!

Service was excellent and the facilities very comfortable, neat and clean. Guests' needs are taken care of with great care and it can certainly be recommended. The roar of a lion from within 4 meters had been an experience of a lifetime. All the lions were well cared for and provision of safety was excellent. Definitely a bucket list recommendation.

Puruma is definitely the place to go if you want to take a break from the city and all the chaos. It is so peaceful there and you constantly see all the lions. The roar of the lions in the early morning is the best alarm. Would recommend it to everyone.
It is an experience to be able to stay among the lions. Lions that roar when one sleeps or just wakes up. Location is excellent. Customer service is excellent. Puruma Pride was really fantastic. We camped and facilities were cleaned daily and the hospitality of Tannie Hetta and her family was just great. They care about the people and nothing is too much trouble. I have never experienced such hospitality at a campground. Will go back there for sure. It had been raining for the last few days at Puruma and we were camping. Aunt Hetta accommodated us in a chalet at no extra cost for our last day - just because she cares. It's the type of people and peaceful atmosphere that we had the privilege to share for our December vacation. Very privileged to come and discover the piece of gold and is worth every cent!
To wake up every morning with the lions here around you. There are no words.
We stayed in a tent. It was clean and tidy and has everything you needed. You can't braai at your tent site and need to braai in the boma next door - I would suggest that the owners make an entrance to the boma directly from the tent side then one doesn't need to walk around - especially in winter. The overall experience was good. We also took a drive in the game drive vehicle to watch the lions being fed.
It was an incredible experience to see and hear the lions. The service is good and the place was super clean.

We stayed at Puruma Pride for two days as a family with other family. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and everyone had their own space - yet we could all have fun together on the large veranda. The lions are amazing and can be seen up close. Incredible experience enjoyed by all - young and old.
From the time the booking was made until we left Puruma Pride the service was excellent and professional. All your needs and requests are thoroughly taken care of and the chalets are comfortable and well equipped. It is an experience to do the lion tour or just to view them on foot. It is truly something to hear them roar as you sit quietly around a fire chatting. We are already planning our next weekend there. Lizel and Salomie are very helpful and their knowledge of the farm and lions is excellent.

The Lion Farm is situated in the beautiful nature just before Viljoenskroon. It was a peaceful getaway and yet a great adventure so between the mighty lions. The hostess did her job very well. We will definitely recommend this accommodation.

What a nice experience. The birdhide is a tranquil, secluded area. You fall asleep to the sounds of birds and awaken during the night by the roaring of lions. And then once again the songs of birds. An outside shower to feed your soul.
Many thanks to the whole team who made our long weekend run so smoothly. Aunt Hettie's food is so straight out of a recipe book. The personal game drive was much appreciated. The beds are nice and soft and the water pressure is good. You make one feel like part of the family. We will be hitting that dirt road again soon.

The bathrooms were nice, clean and tidy with lovely big showers! The lions are beautiful and in excellent condition, we really enjoyed the walk among the lions. The roaring in the morning and at night was an experience! Salome, Lizelle and Tannie Hettie are friendly, hospitable people! We will definitely visit Puruma Pride again!

Very important: Call Salomi. Dirt road from Viljoenskroon is horrible but the road from Parys' side is quite decent (with a Getz and trailer). Puruma is so well appointed, the people so helpful. All the animals are so well cared for - you can see these people work and live their heart and soul here. There is a lot of love for every small animal to big cat. My daughter and I booked a safari tent, spacious and so well equipped. So sorry we only booked for one night. My daughter couldn't get enough of the game drive. The next morning we went horse riding with Salomi. They provided us with a meat pack and barbecue for the evening, delicious. Would love to do the bullock cart ride too. We will definitely go back to Puruma but this time for a longer stay.

It was such a good experience staying at Puruma Pride Lion Park. The units are spacious, clean and well equipped and the aircon was a life saver. Two people form our group slept in the tent room and really enjoyed it, espacially with the lion coming up close to the tent to drink water. We drove with an open vehicle and visited all of the lion camps. It was quite an experience and the cameras were clicking away all the time. Seeing wild lions up close is really special. There are about 80 lions of all ages and they are clearly treated well and are in a good state, especially the male lions who really look like kings of the jungle. None of the lions are tamed or touched by humans, which was great for me. Thanks Salome and team for an enriching experience.

Even though I was hoping for a bit more forest, it ended up being perfect! You are two meters from the lions where you sit and relax, they roar here in front of you, stayed in the tents, very luxurious and tidy with a toilet and sink, showers were separate but also very tidy! I would recommend the Lion Tour anytime - very informative and also an experience! Roasted in the boma which brought back the forest feeling. Thank you for all your efforts Puruma Pride! You are humble people with a passion for what you do! We will definitely visit again!
What an amazing place to visit! Being surrounded by lion camps is an unforgettable experience. From our patio we could relax and braai while enjoying the view of white lions just meters away. Our walks around all the lion camps were great although sometimes intimidating with the adults keeping a keen eye on us. The open vehicle tour, guided by Kobus, into some of the camps is a must for all who visit. Be prepared for lots of loud roaring throughout the night to keep you on your toes!

Falling asleep to the 'umph, umph, umph' of lions meters outside of our room was a rare experience! The room and other amenities sported all the finer touches making it a very pleasant stay, indeed. The route to the lodge was a bit of a challenge because of the rain, resulting in a very muddy dirt road - my husband had a flash back to his army days happily driving through the mud - while I bit my nails! The lions, however, are awesome!
The hospitality and friendliness we experienced was absolutely fantastic. We thought we knew something about lions, but we were obviously mistaken. We will recommend Puruma Pride Lion Park to every person we know.
The lion enclosures are superbly placed in front of the tents and we were kept awake the whole night by the roaring of the males. Exceptional experience.
