We like to stay at Queensrest when we visit Pretoria. The units are comfortable and well equipped and always spotlessly clean. The environment is quiet and central.
It was the first time we stayed here, and we would love to stay there again in the future. We spent the night there with our newborn, and we couldn't think of a more comfortable place to be. The room is painfully clean and tidy. No. 4 is very spacious and consists of a large bathroom, walk-in closet, open-plan bedroom with king-size bed and equipped kitchen. Everything in this unit is durable, including the linens, towels and kitchenware. The solar power provides enough during load shedding. Marina keeps a firm hand over the guest house and nothing is missing.
The area is quiet and the units very comfortable, clean and tidy. We book regularly at Queensrest.

Residential unit key not available at reception. While sitting in the room, other people who stayed there the night before came in with the key. So very little key control. Later, the same people came to retrieve their toiletries that were still in the toilet box. The shower pipe was also not acceptable, so the units do not appear to be cleaned to standard. Also stayed nice, just renovate your service.

We stayed 2 nights at Queensrest. The first thing that I noticed when we arrived was the peaceful atmosphere and the birds playing in the bath. It is really a beautiful and neat unit. The only criticism we have is the fact that there were 2 single beds. We would have preferred a double bed. But otherwise we have no complaints.

The apartment is very neat and spacious. I can only recommend that the boiler in room 3 be replaced. Lovely to relax on the veranda / in the garden. Nice and private. Secure parking. Can definitely be recommended for family visiting the elderly in Huis Herfsblaar. Close to the Queen's Corner Shopping Centre.

Just a shame that the owner called us and some of the other guests who used the braai facilities the Friday night at 21:00 and threatened to come over and throw us out if we didn't quiet down immediately. We enjoyed the rest of the accommodation. Stay there by all means, just don't use and enjoy the braai facilities.
Clean and well maintained unit, except for one pillow case that was dirty on our arrival. Good location and fair safety of boundary walls, but the fact that are is no burglar bars, made us feel unsafe to open windows during the night.

Description
Very spacious self-catering bachelor unit with twin single beds. There is a third bed in the living area to sleep 3 persons. One bathroom with shower. Self-catering kitchen with induction hob and microwave, combination fridge/freezer, table and chairs. Walk-in cupboard that can be locked. DSTV - Hotel/Guest house package that consist of M-Net, M-Net Movie channels, all the Supersport channels plus SABC 1,2,3, e-TV, KykNET and National Geographic. Safe parking.
At Queensrest there are 6 beautifully decorated units, all opening up to a large garden. Units can accommodate between 1 and 8 persons, depending on your needs. Units are fitted with modern conveniences such as a kitchenette with tea- and coffee-making facilities, a hair dryer and private bathrooms.
There are a communal braai area and a deck overlooking the garden with lovely bird life. Free Wi-Fi is available. There is also a DStv Hotel package with M-Net, M-Net Movies, all the sports channels, SABC 1, 2, 3, and eTV, kykNET, and National Geographic available.
Please be advised that no noise or parties are allowed after 22:00. Transport is available by prior arrangement.
