Super relaxing place.
We had a fabulous stay at Rabbits Den: easy to find, great location, great facilities and clean. The communication from the time of booking to during our stay was good. It was nice knowing we had someone to ask questions if needed. They have a back-up inverter and gas cooking options in the event of no electricity. The one aspect I had overlooked was whether the unit was serviced or not. It is not a serviced unit, but perhaps this can be arranged if needed. We stayed for three nights, so managed, but if staying longer, you may want service at some stage. There was tea, coffee, and milk provided, but no regular tea, only Rooibos. That is literally the only fault we could find!
We had a wonderful stay at Rabbits Den. The house is well equipped for self-catering and close to Clarens.
Rabbits Den is a fantastic place to stay with everything needed to make it comfortable. Everything was very clean and the ice maker and filtered water was a big plus. The only small, small negative is the trees that take away a bit of the view, but to view nature like this is fantastic. Will definitely book Rabbits Den again for a weekend.
We had a very nice stay. It was a nice cold weekend and unfortunately the fireplace didn't work, but the owner went out of his way to bring us a gas heater.
It's a great location and really safe, which made this a pleasant stay. But what made the stay less enjoyable is that the bare minimum is done to maintain the place and to check it before guests check in. All of the liquid soap holders were empty and the fireplace didn't work. The hosts were great and responsible when we alerted them to this and they came to help start up the fireplace (a valve was closed that should have been open). But, as the weekend continued, more stuff emerged for which we simply didn't have the energy to complain about: nothing to use to take hot holders from the oven; the one bedroom's cupboard door didn't close properly, the 30-second games in the lounge are incomplete (no timers), the front door's paint is peeling heavily, only one of the two bed lamps in each room is connected to electricity (no extension cord is provided for the other bed lamp to reach the power point), the tops of the dining chairs' material are stained all over and have clearly not been cleaned, the list goes on.
Awesome location. Stunning view from the veranda/patio. Home was spacious, clean and well-equipped, including an ice machine and filtered drinking water. Had a fantastic weekend, will definitely return.
The open plan living area is very cozy. Special thought has been given to an ice machine and water purifier, which add a lot of value. It's private and quiet for those who just want to relax. The hostess is extremely helpful and everything looked exactly as in the photos. Extras such as the gas bottles and full DStv connected to an inverter make it very convenient during load shedding. The Ice Machine is a winner. The water purifier in the kitchen is a big plus.

Maybe just heater in living room and bedroom for winter. Gas stove not very effective. Just a suggestion.
Payload is a problem - there are only LED lights available. The gas fireplace is not very effective in heating the house.
Rabbits Den has all the facilities to make one's stay delightful and relaxing. It is a beautiful setting and one could not ask for better. Good quality bedding and beds, with a lovely veranda to enjoy the view.

The name is not "Rabbits Den" for nothing. The bunnies came to say hello daily.
Three nice big rooms with a bathroom each. Two bathrooms have baths and showers and the third bathroom a shower. Kitchen is well equipped and view over the Clarens valley is beautiful. Would definitely recommend Rabbits Den 100%.
House is very neat and clean. Had a great stay.
Received very good service from Jacolien. Nice and relaxing with enough space and all the necessary facilities and equipment - we even had the opportunity to use the games that were available, played delightfully on the veranda.
The parking is on the street level thus challenging to offload and load up my stuff.
Our company's management meeting was held there. The view, the house and the atmosphere are unsurpassed. Jacolien was lightning quick to assist us with information and inquiries, and the house is located on one of the most beautiful golf courses in the central region, would definitely recommend it!
The Clarens Golf & Leisure Estate is familiar to us and we prefer to come back here annually.
