Ramsgate Guest House is located in the heart of Ramsgate on top of a hill across from the beach. The guest house offers spectacular views from every room, and also has a viewing deck to spot whales and dolphins in season, and even resident visiting fish eagles.

Each comfortable guest room features air-conditioning or a fan, a mini-fridge and microwave, free Wi-Fi internet access, a TV with DStv, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room, or out on the patio overlooking the sea.

The guest house also offers guests the use of a large infinity pool, which has loungers and hammocks for lazing around on a sunny day. There are 4 outside braai areas for guests' use. Ramsgate Guest House also offers the use of beach amenities including beach chairs and towels, coolers and ice.

Would happily book there again. The service was good and Adrie went out of her way to make the stay as pleasant as possible for us.

The website is very old. What they advertised and what we got are 2 completely different things. The room they gave us was not the right room at all according to their website. They then gave us another room, but on the condition that we have to be out by the 30th of December as the room from that date was already booked. They would refund us the difference. It's already been 2 weeks and we still haven't been refunded at all. There was also no WiFi at all. The pin they gave us was correct, but still the signal is so weak no reception. We didn't feel safe either, as the front gate to the street was permanently open, I have the photos for you. The lady, Adri, who helped us, was very nice and also told us that the website was very old. So what they advertise with you is false.

"Was there for a wedding. All paving around the guest house is painted with enamel paint, extremely dangerous and slippery, I fell and got hurt!"

Breakfast options only have eggs which are different. Faucets in kitchen and bathrooms are loose and run on a thin stream. Kitchen drawers get stuck and don't work at all. Wifi did not work and DStv only has limited channels. No fence around pool, and generator is next to trampoline. No handrail at outside stairs at reception. Trash was never cleaned in 3 days while a family of 5 used the family unit. Bath flakes with shower inside bath with an old curtain. For a 4-star guest house at R2600 per day, I expect something better for sure.

Nice stay. Breakfast was delicious. Very nice view. But as said, some attention should be paid to the finishing, etc. The teals push away from the wall in the bathroom, only a matter of time then the als fades away. The room's curtain rail was broken in half. Can see it has been like this for a long time. Also they advertise free WiFi but upon enquiry, we were just told there isn't. Would like to stay there again but hopefully they sort out the bugs.

Too much light though and shines into your room and spoils the view. I did ask the lady to assist with switching off some floodlights and she was extremely accommodating and helpful! Thank you!

Would recommend to other people. If you want to have fun go to Ramsgate guest house! Minor wrinkles: sliding doors of Hibiscus King Suite and Zanzibar Queen Suite were hard to open. Needs some lubricant. TV was not working at Zanzibar. Leakage fridge in Maldives Family Suite/Self-catering. Delicious breakfast.

Wanted a certain room, was apparently not available due to other people in the room, but it doesn't make sense, because there wasn't anyone in the entire place! Wasn't a good experience. Looked for other accommodation. Have to say, at least got my money back. Thank you. Asked before we booked, said there were DStv channels! It is a lie - only certain channels.

Great location and wonderful breakfast. We also went with our 2 yorkies and they were safe to roam around. Close enough to walk all main beaches but also not crowded on the small private ones.
