The Midlands Meander is less than an hour's drive away, so there is plenty to do in the area.

8 guests' feedbackBeautiful place with the most beautiful view over the valley. Friendly reception by the hostess, helpful and the accommodation was clean, tidy with a well-equipped cottage and kitchen for self-catering. Quiet place for relaxing and will definitely come back again. Days were warm to use the "stuffer" in master bedroom, but it's a great asset for the winter months. Fireplace in the living room is just right for family visits in the evening during the winter. Thank you very much.
Sue was a great hostess, contacting me to check on our arrival time and then sending me the necessary details to check out for on our arrival. She was friendly and welcoming, making sure that we had everything necessary for our stay and giving us details of local restaurants. She also gave us extra, safe parking space for our trailer and motorbikes. The place was bigger than expected with a lovely private garden. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. It was perfect for our needs and great value for money.
What is there not to like? Was fun with no TV and Wi-fi. Gave us some quality time. A+. Not much one can add to an amazing place. Keep up the good work.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, quiet and is in an excellent location. Unfortunately, there was no water on the Saturday, which made it very uncomfortable. We had to put a hosepipe through the cottage to fill water for the toilets and washing up. Maybe put a tap on the JoJo tank to avoid running a hosepipe through the cottage for future outages? The other downside is that there is only one bathroom and the other guests had to walk through the main bedroom in order to use the facilities, which was very disturbing, especially at night time. Perhaps look at adding an ensuite or somehow make another entrance to the one bathroom. It's also not equipped for two couples because there are bunk beds in the second bedroom; maybe make arrangements to change out the bunk beds for a double bed for when couples book in, just a suggestion. Could you also perhaps put a bench or seating of some sort at the lookout point to enjoy either a cuppa or a sundowner whilst enjoying the view? We enjoyed adopting Zoe for the weekend, though; she is an absolute gem of a dog.
We had family time every night. They put in up to lights that work when there was loadshedding.
Very central, fantastic hosts, we will definitely use this accommodation again and recommend it to family and friends.
Lovely stay with a lovely host. The views are breathtaking. Well worth it!
The cottage has incredible historical value and there is a beautiful view. The facilities were also very satisfactory. The location halfway between Pietermaritzburg and Durban is fantastic.
