Rebellie Gaste Plaas – The Lodge sleeps 7 people comfortably in the loft and 2 bedrooms. The one bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second contains a queen-size bed as well as a single bed. Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The loft is furnished with 2 single beds and makes use of a bathroom with a shower. For convenience, bedding is provided but guests need to bring their own towels.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a microwave, a stove and oven, as well as a fridge, and guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table. The lounge has a fireplace for chilly days, and braai facilities are available on the patio.
The Lodge is pet-friendly, but small dogs please need to be kept on a leash.
The guest farm does not have any fences, and game such as black wildebeest, eland, zebra and blesbok, and eland roam freely, and guests may even have the experience of having them visit. Guests can climb the mountain which offers a view off Lesotho and Clarens, bring their mountain bikes to explore the farm or test their 4x4 skills on the 2 routes available, which is graded 3 to 5. Nearby activities such as target shooting, horse riding, fishing and white water rafting can also be enjoyed.

The couple was helpful as our car would slip in the mud caused by the snow. We were all overwhelmed by the generosity from the owners. Keep up the good work in hospitality.

Perfect stay in the mountains, away from the city noise. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and make the 80th birthday a success. I will definitely go back, but this time I will just go with my spouse and just enjoy the nature. The dirt road is slightly uncomfortable with a car, so I like to recommend an SUV or a 4X4, but we were able to do it slowly with cars. It is an ideal place where you can just relax, feet in the air, good company and be yourself again. Thank you!

Beautiful farm. Although it is only 14 km from Clarens, the dirt road is a challenge. It is wonderfully quiet on the farm and the wildlife was a bonus.

The house itself is nice, clean, and pretty much has everything you need. The owner is super friendly and provides great suggestions, especially for first-timers like us. We really enjoyed our stay and we can book the same place again should we visit Clarens.
What a surprise when we arrived - a beautiful lodge with everything available with regards to self-catering. Beds were comfortable with fluffy pillows. Beautiful views with animals roaming the property. Property is quite a drive from the main road but worth it as animals roam the road. Can become quite slippery after rain but nothing that a normal car can't handle. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for quiet and relaxation.
It is very quiet and secluded with wildlife roaming around the unit. Very nice and beautiful place to walk. Very nice view in all directions with more than enough opportunity for beautiful mountain and animal photos. It is also very clean and well equipped.
At first did not know the exact location of the house. Rebellion covers a large area. The road caught us off guard, but it was absolutely worth it. The house is special with all its doors and privacy. The 3 bathrooms were a bonus when 4 of the 7 guests are ladies. The kitchen is comfortable, large and has everything you need. The host, Wynand, went out of his way to accommodate us and answer questions. Rebellion will definitely see us again for longer. Two nights were too short to take in the enormity of the surroundings.

We were planning on visiting Clarens for shopping over the weekend, but immediately fell in love with the view and the animals and decided to just enjoy the whole mountain feeling, fireplace and Jacuzzi for the weekend. Excellent choice. The Jacuzzi was lovely and for sure an added bonus during our stay! What a lovely gem of a holiday destination! Secluded, safe, well equipped and value for money!

Rebellie was amazing - the road to the farm is a bit difficult so you just have to drive carefully if you drive a smaller car. When we arrived the Jacuzzi was already on. The rooms are incredibly beautiful, everything was clean and tidy. It was lovely that the wildlife walks very close to the cottage. We could sit on the porch and watch the wildebeests and zebras play. We really had an unforgettable weekend and will definitely visit Rebellie Gaste Plaas again.
The person who received us is helpful and very friendly. The road on the farm itself is very decent, but driving to the farm gate is a bit rough but doable with any vehicle. It is also close enough to Clarens if you want to spend the day there or have forgotten something.

The hot Jacuzzi was a great treat for the kids, even though it was freezing outside. Close enough to Clarens that you can eat out in the evenings. Will be back for sure.

Perfect place to get away from it all. We enjoyed our week at the lodge, you are totally secluded from everyone. The drive into Clarens is about 30 minutes so you are still close enough to everything. We will definitely come back.
The extra activities like the zipline and the Jacuzzi were a big bonus.
The lodge is very well equipped with everything you need. There is a nice covered sitting area with a relatively large deck that has a beautiful view of the sandstone mountains. Game was plentiful and close to the unit. The fact that it is quite remote makes it very safe. Although there is a +/- 10 km dirt road to the lodge, it is in good condition allowing access for a normal vehicle and the view is breathtaking. Will definitely book here again in the future.

If you really want to relax and spend quality time with your family this is your kind of holiday. We really enjoyed our stay at Rebellie. We stayed in The Lodge and the view was awesome. The only noises you hear is that of the animals. Very good service received from Rebellie.
The lodge was ideal for 7 people. Nicely furnished, great location, view was awesome. The Jacuzzi was a bit cold when colder weather set in and could not be adjusted.

The view and surroundings were breathtaking. Although the accommodation was relatively clean we felt it was very neglected. Lights don't work, handrails broken, some places lack paint, some plugs don't work. The jacuzzi was also empty and not working. I also wouldn't recommend that you drive there with a regular car. It must be a taller car/van.
