2nd visit and was welcomed very kindly (even kept in touch along the way). On arrival even upgraded to another unit with our comfort (possible disturbing neighbors) in mind - it was spontaneously offered without us even being aware of possible disturbances. Everything in the unit was working and tidy - recommendation for a place to eat in town was also 100% spot on.
Will definitely stay there again. Pamper yourself with a warm blanket and a nice warm bath and clean water.

Many thanks to Hendrina at Rebunie Selc-catering for her friendly service, hospitality and attention to detail. She also contacted us on her own initiative to find out if we were still on track and safe on the road and also sent directions to Rebunie Self-catering. Rebunie Self-catering was far more and more luxurious than we had expected - extremely tastefully furnished, modern and clean, with all necessary accessories. More extras were a.o. coffee, tea, milk and ice cream. Beautiful new bathroom with spacious designer bath and walk-in shower. The WiFi also works seamlessly 24/7 even if there was load shedding - an alternative sunlight, a battery-powered reading light, and a gas stove were also provided. Thank you very much, the person who manages these units is someone who knows what guests need and meets all requirements. We had a wonderful stay and rested. The recommendation to eat at Ciela's Restaurant was another bonus and a surprise. Calvinia, Rebunie Self-catering, and Ciela's make a winning combination. All these role players make one's travel and stay just that much easier. Thanks to all of you.

This was my longest stay (6 or 7) with Frans and Hendrina and as usual everything was perfect. Tarantula or Rebunie are top shelf. In all the years I have spent the night there I have had nothing to complain about. If you drive that way and want to stay, this is the place for you. And no, I am not paid to write the review. It's really value for money.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed firm and comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet so there is no traffic noise. There were no short-coming as far as we were concerned.

It was a very hot day in Calvinia when we stayed there and the air conditioning in the room was very effective. Comfortable beds with pure white linen. We stayed at Rubunie in mid August 2022. Coming from KZN, the cold front that hit the Northern Cape that week was one of the coldest we had experienced in a long time. Unit 3 was neat and clean with everything we needed and the electric blanket and winter sheets - what a pleasure! We also loved hearing about the history of the building from our hostess.
Everything needed for an overnight stay available. Calvinia is an excellent stopover and the town is spotlessly clean with good shops and restaurants. Well done! Would recommend Rubinie anytime. Very neat and quality finish.

Excellent - it's not anywhere you get the chance to enjoy watching TV while sprawled out under the covers on an enormous bed. Everything was there and we were safe, also with electronic access to our parking area. Very easy to find, a stone's throw from the center of town, but also without the town's noise. Will stay there again and recommend others to try it.

We spent a night at Rebunie and found the unit to be very comfortable. The bathroom is modern and we had everything we needed. There is ample parking and suitable if you are towing a trailer. There was even a outside plug available if required to connect power to a trailer.

The hosts are extremely hospitable and helpful and the place has absolutely everything you could need. Everything works perfectly and we were particularly impressed with the giant bathroom which has been beautifully redone.
