Highly recommended! This hidden gem in Clarens exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, the communication with the host was fantastic. They kept me informed throughout the booking process and right up to check-in. Jacquie, the host, went above and beyond. Upon arrival, Jacquie personally greeted us, handed over the keys, and provided valuable information that made our stay in Clarens even better. The accommodation itself was perfect. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The inverter was a lifesaver, especially with the possibility of load shedding (which we luckily avoided during our visit). Evenings were spent cozying up by the fireplace, gazing at the magnificent starry sky. The location was ideal. For photographers and videographers, Red Mountain Retreat offers stunning scenery. I took my drone out for some breathtaking aerial footage of the Clarens landscape. The natural light streaming into the rooms in the daytime was perfect, and the en-suite bathrooms were a big plus. If you're an outdoors enthusiast, there are numerous hiking and running trails right on your doorstep. Overall, my stay at Red Mountain Retreat was fantastic. I will definitely be booking again for a much longer stay next time I'm in Clarens. I highly recommend this property!

A modern 2 bedroom unit with beautiful views. The indoor fireplace made the living area nice and warm. Beds have electric blankets that make winter evenings cozy. The kitchen is furnished with durable items and stylishly. The porch outside is ideal for visiting and drinking coffee with a beautiful view. Everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Will definitely book again.

Beautiful place with breathtaking views. Areas for improvement. No power. No water, water can definitely be provided if there is no power. Couldn't shower, couldn't use toilets, power had been off since 6pm and never came back on for the rest of our stay. We went to find alternative accommodation in Bethlehem. Definitely disappointed with it. Didn't feel like a breakaway. Heating devices are also purchased. The fireplace warms the place, but only in the living room, the rooms are freezing cold. Other than that, it would have been a great time. Lovely private unit. One day's visit is surely too little!
