Very neat place to stay where you immediately feel at home. The surroundings and mountains are beautiful, especially if one is lucky enough to see snow.
The fresh milk and cake were a lovely surprise. Hostess is most helpful.
We really enjoyed our visit. Excellent service with a fireplace that was stoked every night and much more. The house is lovely and very nice to relax in and the silence of the evenings and stars is something not to be missed. The house has everything you need from DStv and WiFi to books and board games to enjoy. The river was very low for fishing and would suggest one would rather go fishing in the summer months. Not too far from Rhodes. Just make sure to fill up on your last town as the nearest gas station is in Barkley East.
This was our favorite stay in the area. Will never look any further for other accommodation. The farm is beautiful and peaceful. We felt truly welcome and all the little treats we incredibly appreciated and enjoyed.
Dirt road inconvenient, didn't have correct vehicle for it. Didn't know that ahead of time.
Stunning scenery with warm, cosy and comfortable house made this an unforgettable experience. The hospitality of Kath and Mamello made this experience even more special together with the fresh creamy farm milk and homemade rusks, will be long cherished and remembered. I will return to this piece of heaven on earth.
The cottage is very "cosy" and it should be great to stay there when the snow is white. The food that Katerine provided to order was top notch. If you are looking for peace of mind, this is definitely a place to consider.
Homemade chocolate cake was served on arrival - delicious after a nerve wracking dirt road leading to this gem destination. The house has a large fireplace that is cleaned and repacked every day. The kitchen and rest of the house are well equipped against the cold and have everything you need. The people are hospitable and professional. Just be aware that grocery shopping options are very limited on Barkly East and Rhodes. Beautiful hiking trails on the farm and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.
