The house comprises of 3 bedrooms with a double bed in the main bedroom, 2 single beds in the second bedroom and third bedroom with double bed in outbuilding, about 30 m from the main house.
Linen is provided, as well as towels. It also offers a bathroom with bath, toilet and washbasin, a second bathroom with shower and basin. The main bedroom has an en-suite toilet with basin. The third bedroom in the outbuilding has an en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, with fairly large freezer compartment, a microwave and stove. There is one gas burner in case of load shedding. There is a lounge area with a flat-screen HD TV that has selected channels from local SABC. No KykNet channels are available. Guests are welcome to bring their own decoder and smart card for DStv viewing.
Free uncapped Wi-Fi is available.
Outside, there is a private braai facility, lock-up garage and parking space for a trailer behind the perimeter wall.
Small, knee-height dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

From George Airport, guests can travel to Cape Town, Johannesburg, East London and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Facing the beachfront, the apartment is located on the ground floor of the house. It is within walking distance from the sea, about 200m as the crow flies. The scenic view can be judged by the photographs provided on this website.

Dog friendly for my pomeranians and the peace of mind that my car could sleep in the garage was great. The area is very safe. Walking distance from the beach. With view from the rooms and can hear waves. Very nice stay. Will come again for sure.
What a beautiful spacious place and within a few minutes walk you are on the beach. We also had the privilege of meeting the owners who made us feel incredibly welcome. All that's missing is a pair of tongs, usually we have one in the car, but this time we forgot to load it. We will definitely stay there again.
We had a nice time. The weather had been nice. We appreciate the provision for gas plate for when it was loadshedding. Everything was comfortably furnished.

If we were told they are busy building and making noise every day we would have looked for something else, we were like prisoners in the building, we could not open any windows or blinds, we could not braai untill 5 in the evening as the contractors were busy on the top floor and on the stoop where we were suppose to sit and relax, they promised us they will only start working at 8 in the morning but 7,: 15 they allready started knocking and grinding, next time please tell people up front there is building and noise going on so people can look for something else or dont rent it out till the building and renovations are done, i mean that is why a person go to the sea is to relax and have peace in this rat race we live in and we stayed for 14 days not only 2 or three days. Very diappointed.
The apartment has everything you need. Very neat and clean. Walking distance from beach, with young toddlers we did prefer to drive to main beach instead. Thank you very much for a nice visit!
My mother and I really enjoyed the time. The apartment is comfortably furnished. The silence with only the sound of the sea is very peaceful. I am also happy about the fence to keep our dogs in. Thank you very much.

It was the very best place to be able to book. Really gives the feeling of your own dream place by the sea. It is perfect for a family to stay overnight for vacation time. The place really does what its name says. Also perfect for taking your dog with you. It is a self-catering unit with warmth, rest, peace and everything you need to help you enjoy your holiday spot.

Apartment is located below the main house with stairs on side of house to reach. Clean and tidy. No internet. Owner very friendly and communicated easily.
Our accommodation was very nice, it's a stone's throw from the sea and very safe. The only thing that was bad was that our puppy came with but there is no fence / wall at the bottom where you stay.
We had a very nice, relaxing stay at Rest a Bit. The accommodation was everything they promised, clean, neat, very well equipped kitchen and very pet friendly, my dog was safe and happy! We will definitely like to stay there again and will recommend Rest a Bit to all our friends and family.

Everything one needs to rest comfortably and without stress is there. Clean, tidy and the use of the garage is a bonus. Our dogs also had a great time!

We were received on time and shown around. The inside and outside areas were clean and neat. Shower and bath were seperate. One can walk to the clean beach and go for a long walk and still not find the end of it, fantastic!
The unit was very clean and well equipped. Our out of season visit was quiet and peaceful.
We really enjoyed Rest a Bit. It was wonderfully quiet with a well-equipped kitchen and a private braai area. However, we were not informed ahead of time that we had to bring our own towels. When we arrived there was no toilet paper in the bathroom either. These two things cast a slight shadow over an otherwise very enjoyable time.
Rest a Bit was a pleasant surprise for us. It is a well appointed, neat little place in a nice quiet environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area. Apart from a few small bugs, which the owners were not aware of, we really enjoyed our stay there, although we didn't expect the apartment to be part of the main house. We were privileged to meet the owners during our visit there and the fact that they were on the same premises did not bother us at all. We will book there again anytime and will confidently recommend the place to other tourists.
