Yep we did, the indoor grill and beautiful view was a huge bonus!
Everything was just right and there is a lot of space.
The only complaint I have is that we could not stay longer! Hilda is an exceptional host, from arrival to departure. The house is clean, and neat and it has everything that you could possibly need. I would suggest a new mattress in the bottom corner room, but otherwise all good.
We booked the house as part of Interschool weekend against Vredendal. Our 3 families fit in with ease and had a great time. Hilda is a wonderful hostess and was always available to help. Thank you very much!
House has everything you need and a beautiful view of the sea. Location was perfect for our teenagers who could walk down to the sea by themselves. House is much bigger than we thought. Hostess was very helpful and friendly and responded quickly to messages.

We spent a misty evening at Retha's House on a flower trip. The bedrooms (2 large en-suite double rooms, where one enters the house upstairs, plus 4 with double beds, one of which also has a single bed, downstairs) are all very nice and spacious. There are also 2 bathrooms with baths and showers downstairs and large indoor and outdoor living areas. The surroundings are peaceful, with the sea that you can hear roaring under the steep slope. The gas stove was useful during load shedding.

When opening the house, it smelt a bit musty. It would have been nice of the hostess opened up the house earlier in the day to let some fresh air in.
