The location is excellent; we left our feet in the covered parking area and explored the town on foot. Very stylishly decorated. Quiet, spacious and clean room with air conditioning, great shower facilities, exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Excellent value for money.

Rooms were modern and well-equipped. Housekeeping was very good.
The restaurant The O Bar & Eatery's service was below standard. The lady who served us was definitely not in the mood to work, not friendly at all and didn't really want us to go and pay at the reception. The card machine wasn't working, so we asked her to put the cost of the breakfast on our bill. We did pay at reception the next day. The breakfast buffet was also very expensive R165 pp but if you only eat a hot meal where it is not a buffet, but they bring you in it is R125pp. He would rather eat at the Cafe Dubois just next to the hotel, excellent service, friendly and value for money.
It was a 4 star hotel and the air conditioner broke and they didn't offer us a fan. So we got warm in the night, I should have gone and asked for one in the morning which they didn't have either. Next day I asked for one and got it.

Comfortable affordable accommodation located around the corner from the waterfront. Cleanliness is the watchword. Serve a delicious breakfast.
This hotel was a surprise. The welcome from security and reception staff was excellent. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything one needs. The bed was comfortably firm and the linen crisp. The shower was so good I wanted to take it home with me. Breakfast was delicious and set me up perfectly for the rest of my day. The only downside was that I was staying only one night as I was passing through. I would like to return when next I find myself in Knysna.

It has a great location and is affordable. My only issue was that the aircon wasn't working.
Signposting of The Rex is poor. The reception is located on the ground floor of the apartments next door! The room was very well appointed. My only problem was that we were on the second floor and the lift was out of order for the duration of our stay. I have reduced mobility due to knee problems and battled to climb the stairs.
Very satisfying experience, just a pity there was no Afrikaans TV Channel and the internet/data reception was terrible. Excellent breakfast though.
