Nice and cold in Harrismith! The stay at Rheola's Guest Cottage was very nice for a quick stopover on the way to the sea. Would recommend to anyone who wants to use them.

We only stayed 1 night. Everything was neat and as in the photos. Lance was friendly and made us feel welcome. Slept great - what you see in the photos is what you get.
Mr. Lance received us kindly. Everything was clean, bathroom too. The accommodation is not up to standard in our opinion. Bathroom only has a curtain partition. Furniture looks old and bedding too. Hanging space for clothes is a wooden frame closet with eyelet wire. The building's appearance needs renovation. Gate must be opened with key and lock when going out or entering. There is no lighting at the dark gate and no remote control for gate. TV only has limited channels which makes it unusable. No biscuits with morning coffee and only powdered milk. Awning for car does not look sturdy. The roads in Harrismith are a mess. You can't drive straight down a road. In the future I would prefer to contact the owner of a place to stay and only pay when I arrive there and find it good enough. Then the owner can pay the commission to the website. Point. We wanted to turn around when we arrived at the gate.
It was a perfect stayover, halfway to Durban. Although we arrived late, it was easy to find.
The guest house has a farm atmosphere but with all the modern equipment that people need.
What an absolutely lovely place to stay at. An absolute gem. Spacious and comfortable. Definitely wheelchair friendly. Location perfect and so tranquil. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who looking for accommodation in Harrismith. Restaurant and Spar within walking distance. Just absolutely awesome. Helpful and friendly assistance.

Lance is very friendly and helpful. Very hospitable. It is peaceful quiet environment. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely recommend it to anyone who ventures the long way. Cottage is clean and has everything you need. Maybe just put in bigger glasses but otherwise it's perfect. Thank you very much.

The place has lovely beds and is clean and tidy. What bothers me though is that bathrooms have plain glass windows (not corrugated gals) with only a lace curtain, not good. The whole place could do with curtains that close windows properly, blinds don't work in living room. Furthermore, there was no water, we only heard about this after we checked in. Was not one of the most pleasant choices.
