We loved our time at DenHagen. We experienced living from yesteryear with all modern conveniences. The games room / communal building is very practical and lends itself to group assemblies for meals, TV chats, and kids' games if the weather is bad or just sommer. We were shown the other accommodation options which suit all sizes of family groups, but we had an affinity for 'The Stables'. Lovely views of the mountains and absolute serenity and silence. It's the perfect getaway. Thank you Judy.

Don't expect modern, everything is old and rightly so seeing as the farmhouse is well over 100 years old, but very clean and the beds are fantastic with nice fire places.
Very comfortable and our host was most accommodating. Not knowing the safety situation on remote farms in that area, we were a little concerned about security. Not much of a view, but we enjoyed it nevertheless.
The owners went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and kept us informed of activities in the area. Beautiful views.

The barn is very well equipped and has a lot of character. The owners are very friendly. Would definitely recommend the place.
Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and technology. Wake up in the morning to the sounds of farm animals. On the doorstep of incredible mountains. Will definitely go back in the winter when the snow is thick on the mountains.
Perfect place to explore the area. Judy and Roger are really great hosts. The cottage is a perfect base to retreat after exploring the mountains in the wintery conditions. Super bath, warm fireplace and all amenities you may need. Definitely will be back.
Rodger and Jody were wonderful, accommodating hosts who walked the extra two miles. Beautiful old-time furniture and fantastic linen . Everything was super, including Rodger's tea.
No fuel so fill up in Barkley East or Eliot.
Den Hagen itself is a bit out of town on a reasonable road, but get in contact with the owner to get detailed directions before you go to the farm. The scenery around the area is spectacular.

The house is beautifully old fashioned. From the porch you have a wonderful view of the mountains. The river is also a plus. One night's stay does not do Rhodes justice. Just remember there are no shops or gas stations - so take precautions.

The roads to Rhodes the town will need to be renovated.
There was no one to unlock even though arrangements had been made. Already started looking for other accommodation. Chalet is very nice, but the bed creaks too much.

Rhodes is a beautiful town and the hospitality with which we were received was incredible of course the highlight was our visit to Tiffendell, received with sherry and the restaurant there very good value for money ate and skied, will for sure stay at Den Hagen guest farm again .
I was received by Roger after superb and helpful service by his wife Judy. Highly recommended.
The barn is pretty basic with all self-catering utensils. Daily cleanup from the staff and support from the owner. All facilities functional and hot shower after a days cycling up the passes did the trick. The mattress needs replacing however.
Many thanks to Roger and Judy for their hospitality and customer service over the weekend in Rhodes. Everything was neat and in place and we couldn't have expected more. Although there were only two of us and had to pay for three, because there was room for three it was still value for money. I can definitely recommend Den Hagen and will also use them in the future.
Our host was very welcoming and the rooms were warm and clean.
Away from the usual, delicious farm experience and very stylish. A lot of effort is put into perfecting "self-catering". Owners very sincere and warm.
