20 guests' feedbackExcellently equipped. Central location. Caring hosts.
A return visit, the hosts are friendly and helpful, accommodation is spotless, neat and tidy. We will revisit.
Lovely rustic little place with great warmth and walking distance to the beautiful little town. Very comfy stoep with some lovely touches for us like sherry on arrival with milk and rusks and ice all ready for us. Take charcoal for the braai.
We used this as a base for one night as we were attending a wedding in the area. It's quirky and quite eclectic in its furnishing, but very characterful. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfy, and we were grateful for the mosquito net. Lovely garden and nice touches of fresh milk and rusks (not homemade). Didn't get to sample the honey mead that was provided!
We loved our stay in many ways, very quiet and peaceful, but found the bed very wobbly and impossible to sleep in. The pool was amazing!
Very pleasant and peaceful surroundings. Lovely pool with easy access.
The host, Andy, was very friendly and helpful. Our short visit there was wonderful. Thank you.
We are very happy to recommend Rhus cottage to guests/ the private pool was a real bonus -the hosts welcoming and discreet- and respectful of our privacy to really enjoy our stay - we will return.
We had the most amazing visit. The hosts were friendly and incredibly kind. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The serene and tranquil environment made it hard to leave and return to busy everyday life. We will definitely go back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful, quiet and comfortable stay at Rhus Cottage. Andy is a gracious host, who welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated the attention to detail and the little touches, like rusks to have with our coffee, fruit etc. The cottage was spotless, well equipped and everything worked properly. Well worth staying there!
Extra hanging/storage space would be nice - very pleasant nevertheless.
Very friendly hosts that made sure that we are comfortable.
Really comfortable with everything one needs
Perfectly located in wonderful Standford. Set within a private, tranquil, and established garden enlivened by multitudinous birds. Sufficient sunlight to keep everything warm, but enough shade to keep temperatures reasonable at midday. The bed was comfy, the shower hot, the coffee great - it had the essence of Stanford. We'll be back for sure.
Fortunately, we finished showering the next morning before the municipality turned off the water without notice. Good host. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed slept great with nice soft pillows.
The studio has everything you need in a beautiful setting.
Very peaceful garden setting with wonderful hosts and great attention to detail.
Great place to stay and rest.
The place was situated centrally and within walking distance to town. Beautiful garden and a very friendly cat that made sure we enjoy our stay even more!
We had a wonderful weekend in Stanford and at Rhus Cottage! Very private, quiet and lovely. Inside and outside lives. Many birds in the trees and frogs in the garden. Lovely pool! Quality linen! We could easily stay there for a week!
