38 guests' feedbackFrom a very unassuming entrance, it has everything. It's an oversized bachelor pad that is very tastefully decorated. We were able to braai and had some wood provided (bring more). WiFi was good, and the farms were quite busy with farm life and birds! Ideal spot for visiting the area, chilling with a book, or "working from home" on a farm.
Breathtaking location. The home was beautiful and one experiences the tranquility. Good for the soul. Very good people, thank you very much.

It is an amazingly peaceful place. Upon our arrival at 15h00 we decided to kick off the weekend with a short peaceful afternoon nap. It was so peaceful that we didn't wake up until 08:00 the next day! 17 hours of sleep - completely forgot about barbecue! Sorry we didn't explore the area enough, but the sleep was fantastic! The air conditioning was very effective on one of the hottest days I have ever experienced in the area.

Amazing views.
The mountain views partnered with the nice countryside farms around made the environment special to us. The little river with nice amenities close to the banks made it very welcoming to go relax alongside the waters. Being only 30-40 min drive to Franschhoek we had a great time in the area as well.

Nestled in the hills near Villiersdorp, this is a beautiful farm setting. Our room was very pretty and well equipped and had an air conditioner which helped with the cold. Would definitely recommend if staying in the area.
Good location for places like Worcester, Franschhoek and more. Indoor fireplace for the cold, wet days was definitely needed.

Our 1-night stay at Rietspruit Country Cottage was a good call. John received us hospitably and made us feel very welcome. Everything was particularly neat and spacious, while Di and John also thought of those things that are often absent from other similar places to stay, e.g. tasty biscuits, filter coffee, extra facility for hanging out clothes, dishwashing liquid, luxury hand soap, etc. The king size bed slept great. All this in beautiful surroundings and close to a peaceful pond with bird life.

What a wonderful surprise deep in the mountains. Rietspruit is central between Franschhoek and Robertson. The room was very neat and did not need anything. There was an opportunity to row with the ducks on the dam.

The rest was wonderful. If I may offer any criticism: A brush of paint could make it even more beautiful. And I am inveterate braaiers and then such a tin (Weber) is not what I am looking for.
Regularly do weekends away with kids, and this is 1 of my top 5 places so far, go back with friends and their kids as soon as possible to relax.
We enjoyed every moment, lovely experience that I will recommend to any couple.

We were 4 adults sharing and there was only one bathroom en suite to the double room downstairs. Sharing a bathroom attached to the main bedroom does not cater for 3 or more adults. The additional accommodation upstairs (2 single beds) connects via a spiral staircase which needs some stabilisation to make it feel secure. Also, the sound from the upstairs bedroom floor being walked on was very noisy downstairs. The property is approx. 10 km outside Villiersdorp but does provide cooking facilities and the scenery on the property and the surrounding mountains are picture beautiful.
Everything clean and tidy, but not suitable for a long stay. No hair blowing facilities. No KykNet.
It is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. The house is so beautifully laid out. Silver clean beds and so is the house itself. The farm atmosphere is so lovely with the chickens, geese, guinea fowl, goats and horses. Didn't want to drive back home on Sunday. John is also a very friendly individual. Would recommend the place to anyone anytime. Hope we get invited to a wedding again in Villiersdorp, because I wouldn't mind staying there again.

The service couldn't be better, they go out of their way to help you. It was the best decision I ever made to go there for a getaway. They went out of their way to make my request come true and the "special touch" they gave was really excellent. The place is quiet, clean and very tidy. I would highly recommend them. It's really a nice place to stay.
