34 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful stay, everything is extremely neat with modern facilities. The decor is beautiful, clean but cosy, and the kitchen is equipped for good cooking. There is even underfloor heating throughout which kept us cozy in the middle of the cold winter. The large porch is ideal for visiting and barbecuing in any weather. We will come again for sure.
The accommodation was wonderfully spacious and luxurious. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The house is equipped with everything you need and overlooks beautiful surroundings. A nice fabric to keep out the cold. We look forward to visiting in the summer and exploring the area with the mountain bikes.
The cottage is beautiful inside, tasteful, fully equipped and clean. The "far" view from the lovely porch while reading, visiting or barbecuing is incredible! You immediately relax and can't believe how fast time flies.
For us we arrive with everything we need and do nothing. It's peaceful and the night sky is amazing.

Most beautiful surroundings, lovely farm and accommodation. Everything spacious. Lovely visit for 2 weeks, friendly hostess and workers. Drink coffee on that large porch and gaze at the mountains and grazing sheep. Central for day trips in all directions.

Most beautiful view for 360 degrees wherever you look. Stellar splendor as one can only experience in the Karoo. Chance to really switch off. Thanks to Ylodi who helped connect fridge/freezer to "generator" after storm and lightning hit power station. Appreciate all the kindness.
Spending quality time with family. Enjoying nature and comfortable, affordable accommodation. Peaceful surroundings even though a working farm. Walking, riding, driving, and relaxing, you are surrounded by the beauty of the Koue Bokkeveld. The cottage is comfortable with underfloor heating and a fabulous fireplace for the colder winter days. The host is very friendly and helpful!
The cottage is very clean, comfortable bedding, very well stocked kitchen. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and Ylode is a super host, friendly and was always eager to help, give advice etc. We really enjoyed our stay on their farm.

I'll go back to Rietvley any day. One cannot describe the tranquility. The cottage is very neat and the pool very clean. Our children are 5 and 2 and they had a great time on the farm. The cottage offers a lot of privacy for guests, even though it is on the farmyard.
This beautiful cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Its got this lovely stoep with a nice big fireplace to enjoy the perfect braai(not to mention the amazing view). We felt really safe and it was so quiet under the night sky. There is a dam close by with loads of bass for the fishing enthusiasts.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very well equipped, and in a stunning setting. Easy access to some well preserved San paintings. Highly recommend this venue.

Secluded in nature, but with all modern amenities. You can't go wrong.
The cottage is spacious, clean and well equipped. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. We loved having Gus, the Staffordshire Terrier, and the resident springbok visiting us. We explored the well preserved rock paintings on the farm and lay for hours on the lawn gazing at the stars.
Rest for your soul. Had a great time. Everything you need. Exceptional hospitality and service. Will definitely visit again.

We so enjoyed our time at the cottage and will definitely be back! We visited in winter but would also like to experience it in summer. The area is so beautiful and scenic and very restful.
We enjoyed our stay at Rietvley Cottage and the wide-open space of the veld. It was a lovely peaceful retreat. Thank you for having us, the hosts were friendly and helpful. Especially enjoyed the enclosed fireplace and underfloor heating as we had very chilly weather. The outdoor braai on the patio was also great to relax with a stunning view of the rocky plains and mountains.
After a year like that, it was the perfect break to switch off and recharge. The cottage is beautiful and so well appointed. The view from the rooms and the veranda is bliss for the soul. And the large swimming pool was a wonderful treat to cool off. We will definitely visit again.

Ylode is a friendly, hospitable host. The cottage has absolutely everything you need.
It is a beautiful house with very nice finishes and lovely clean. Lovely porch with enough space to hang out. We were there in the middle of winter and it was freezing cold and really appreciated the underfloor heating. The only bad thing is the fireplace that didn't want to work and made the whole house smell of smoke. We hoped to sit in front of the fireplace in the evening but could not get the fireplace going at all. Otherwise it was a lovely house to visit.
The stay at Rietvley Cottage can be recommended and we will certainly return. As beautiful as the photos and perfectly clean and neat. If you are looking for a getaway for a weekend to relax, experience nature and rest we can recommend Rietvley Cottage.

We had a wonderful stay, landscape is picture perfect.
Lovely people and beautiful spacious cottage.
Beautiful. The cottage is unbelievably kitted out to a very high spec. Pool and pool house immaculate. The cottage remained cool in the hot weather. If you want to go out and about, there are one or two places to visit. We went to completely chill and took all provisions and did not move. The stars at night are thrilling. We will be going back.

We were fortunate enough to spend some quality, quiet time at Rietvley! The house is perfect for a couple or family with more than enough space for kids to play and roam! An awesome braai place on the huge stoep is perfect for a late afternoon braai as the sun sets over the beautiful Koue Bokkeveld landscape! Nearby rock paintings and a trip to the Tankwa Padstal is a must! Ylodi and her husband were amazing hosts! We would most definitely recommend Rietvley for a quiet and peaceful break!
