River Crossing is advertised as both B&B and self-catering but there is no breakfast at all. However we had shopped for provisions and with a gas cooker and braai we had no problems during loadshedding. Ryan, the manager was great and accepted that some updating was required inside the units and couldn't have been more helpful with any issues we had. Luckily for us, the vehicle we had rented had enough clearance for the track to the accommodation, some people could have problems. I did not drive at night due to the amount of potholes in the area, an issue which hopefully will be remedied sometime soon.

Had a fantastic break, and the icing on the cake was of course the snow on the mountains! Beautiful view! Host is tops. Accommodation is luxurious and clean. Facilities are quite good, and road surface from Winterton is drivable, but watch out for potholes.

Clean and tidy. Effort has been made with the interior decoration and finishing. Reading material from the environment was presented. The unit has everything one needs and the view from the veranda and rooms is beautiful. Very good value for money. Good location for tourist attractions in Campaign Valley.
