The stay was good, the staff was amazing, and the family chalet size was great. The bar area and views are lovely, and the proximity to the Kruger Park was perfect. The only negative is the noise from the road that was at times very loud and became worse on the weekends.

Our chalet at River Hill Lodge was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the view by the bar overlooking the river. It is a short distance to the Kruger. Chalet 6 is close to the road where the vehicles and trucks pass, which can be very noisy. The food prepared by the chef was okay, rated 6 out of 10. The lodge manager was very helpful and assisted us with our vehicle that had a problem on the morning of departure. Great for an overnight or 2-night stay.

Clean, neat chalet with everything we needed. The fact that there was both a bath and shower was great. Loved the view of the river from the bar area, and swimming pool. The food in their restaurant was brilliant.

The Lodge is located right next to the Komatie River with easy access to the Kruger National Park.
The lodge is beautifully laid out, so tranquil with beautiful birdlife. The general manager, Gavin, is amazing to have as he will assist with making your stay a memorable one. Ross is excellent at what he does and ensured that we catch those Tigers. Our stay was a much-needed one and would love to go back over and over again.

Mark went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Place is neat and clean. Just very hot this time of year. Aircon saved our life. Nice view of the river from the deck. Nice place to spend the night. Cottages in the woods, which makes it nice and private. Passing trains can be distracting, but with aircon on, it helps a lot.
Owner immediately told us that he is doing everything because he was bankrupt and sold due to Covid. Chalets are very cute, but definitely not worth the money. Place was quite clean and owner was very friendly and willing. The pool has a nice view of the golf course but the resort and especially our chalet is right against the busy train track to Mozambique which passes by at least hourly 24 hours a day with a tremendous noise which is not mentioned when you book.
We loved our stay at River Hill Lodge. Richard is a most attentive host and kept our glasses filled while we watched the sun set over the river.
Good location to go into the Kruger park, very the Krodilebrug gate. Facilities are clean and have everything we needed.
It is a beautiful place.
Definitely one of the best places to spend the night before you have to cross the border, especially if you are traveling from far away. Book for more than one night, you want to visit there.
