We had a very nice stay. We were kindly received when we checked in and were explained how everything works. The room was clean and tidy and bigger than it looks in the photos. We could really rest and just enjoy our time there. We will definitely book there again if we go in the direction of Paris.

Solar power and gas geyser make accommodation load-shedding-proof. Hostess went to great lengths to return mobile phone 'charger' that I left there. Very nice stay.

Peaceful and friendly staff.
Out of the three rooms, we were at home in the Elephant room. However, upon our arrival it was clear that there was an overwhelming cat urine smell in the room. We have addressed this with owner. She mentioned that they had put in the laminate floors a week ago, and was firmly convinced that it was the woodfiller. However, there is a significant difference between woodfiller and katurin. We spent as little time there as possible. The owner washed the floor and by day two put one of those air-purifiers in the room, which lightened the smell a bit. The bathroom door was also broken and uncomfortable to use. The air cooling also kept losing its code and had to be reset several times. Owner offered to credit us in full, and then we had to look for alternative accommodation - impossible due to the SAWMGA Nationals, where 600 horses, riders and supporters took part in Paris at the Afridome. Definitely an unpleasant experience for us.

The guesthouse staff was friendly and owner waited for us to check in later than the expected time.

We checked in for one night, but had another appointment that already started at 1pm and I didn't want to arrive there with all the luggage in the vehicle. I called Elize and she immediately agreed that we could check in early and made sure the room was prepared before we arrived. Elize was in constant contact with me to make sure everything went smoothly as she herself had another appointment and the staff received us. Later in the afternoon, after our appointment she came to meet us and once again made sure that everything was okay. The next day after we checked out, she called to let us know we had forgotten something. We were able to turn around in time and leave with all our belongings. They really went the extra mile and we will definitely stay there again when we are in the area again and not even look for other options.

Visited with spouse to explore Paris for her birthday. From arrival to departure, everyone we encountered was nothing but friendly and helpful. Room was clean and practically laid out. All electrics worked well. Bed was comfortable and big. Feeling safe. We enjoyed breakfast and it was tastefully prepared with more than enough to eat. Compliments to the cook as well as the hostess. Will recommend to everyone we know.

Riverbush Lodge is clean, neat and had absolutely everything needed. June is a wonderful hostess that makes sure to make us feel welcome and at home. We will definitely stay there again.
We were very kindly received by Elize and escorted to our room. She explained to us where everything was and how everything worked. The room is very neat and clean and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing was the warm blanket on one side of the bed plug didn't go to the wall plug so I couldn't put it on, and it was very cold that night, but the extra blanket that was there helped. It is a very cute guest house and will definitely stay there again if we are in Paris.

We were welcomed very kindly, the accommodation is very neat. Only regret that we could not stay there longer. The accommodation is located by the river and in a very peaceful area, but not too far from the town either. Looking forward to our next visit.
Room was spacious and tidy. Had a great sleep. But showering was a mission and not very pleasant. The bathroom uses a gas heater to heat the water and the water was either boiling or ice cold with maybe 20 seconds where the water was pleasant enough to rinse off with. Had to constantly open and close the hot water tap for the gas heater to go on.

The internet perception is that it is against the river. The accommodation is behind a house. We were a group of 10 and the braai facilities are too cramped for this.
Owl Room is isolated, very cold, too much light coming to the room because of the extension, the kitchen smells like rust, breakfast limited food. On departure we viewed next door, the lady owner was so friendly and the owner showed us all the rooms, kitchen, whilst giving us their background, rooms cosy.

The room was very comfortable. The abundance of facilities to ensure guests' comfort surprised me. I enjoyed, that you.

The shower head was clogged. The water sprayed everywhere but your body does not get wet.
Unfortunately there was a storm and the power was down. I contacted management but did not get through. We were without power from 18:00 until the next morning at 8:00. I contacted the management again and they helped.
The mattress a little too hard, baths very high for someone with a knee problem or any other disability - I wouldn't recommend this place to them. Rooms are neat, though.
The service was outstanding and I will recommend it to anyone who needs a getaway weekend. All facilities were 100%, we couldn't have asked for anything beter. Although it was really hot we could use the pool which was in a perfect condition. My friends and I really enjoyed it and we cannot wait to visit again. The town has beautiful shops where we did some window shopping. Service at the restaurants were excellent.

Elize is a wonderful host and even allowed us to check in earlier. We only wanted to leave our one vehicle there, but then she said we could check in and that our rooms were ready. She also told us about the Hartelusmark in Paris that was very nice. A pleasant place to overnight. Rooms were neat and everything was in place. Would love to stay here again.

All problem we found was the bath/shower, it says on the gas geyser "outside use only" and it was in the bathroom. Despite that, the water was also hot all the time and then cold when we wanted to shower. Furthermore, everything was very nice and beautiful.

I felt that the overall advertising of the lodge was not correct, it is advertised as a B&B at a price, but at the end of the day, if we wanted breakfast we would have had to pay extra. I felt that this was a bit of false advertising, or incorrect advertising.

We were kindly received. The room was neat and clean. I also liked all the different 'features' all over the garden. All that bothered was that the room was very dark and gloomy with the dominant brown color scheme. The metal lampshades did not contribute to a lighter atmosphere either. We wanted to use the two hammocks, but were wet as a result of booking the Zebra room which had a nicer view of the garden and water fountain.

Had a bad night's sleep, the walls are very thin and the room next door made noise until 3am. Every time the toilet flushes it sounds like it's in our room. Went to sleep in another guest house the 2nd night.
The name and photos on the website give a very different impression than it really is. It's a few small, well-furnished rooms crammed into a back yard. Too narrow, the yard is not well maintained and there is no view of the river although there is a view of the road. It is anything but a lodge!
The bathroom is separated from the room by a wooden palisade wall which is only about 2 m high and is open at the top. When my husband turned on the shower, a thick stream of water sprayed out of the shower head and soaked the bed! At first sight of the lot, I wanted to cancel our reservation, but was told that they were fully booked and had to turn people away already. I located much better and nicer facilities in Paris at a better price the next day. The room was neat but had a strange smell.

Paris is beautiful despite the roads being worked on. It's peaceful with an old world "on the stoep" atmosphere. Despite the power outages, I was very happy with the stay.
I played in a golf tournament at Parys Golf Course and only slept at the guest house. Everything was very acceptable and I will stay there again if I play golf in Paris.

There are much nicer places in Paris. The front view really doesn't look like the picture. The front yard is beautiful. Unfortunately we were at the back of the property. The place was clean and the host/wife was friendly. I have been in this industry myself and may be more critical than others. Paris streets are a nightmare - never experienced so many potholes. Not really sure if I would recommend the place. In terms of cost, maybe so. There was nothing special about Riverbush Lodge. We enjoyed the weekend though.

Nice stay; neat room; beautiful surroundings; dear beagle with whom I had fun playing, and letting miscreants into the room. The only criticism is that the bed was very hard for us, and the yard of the guest house was not very tidy and needs attention.
We only stayed overnight and did not have breakfast. The reception was very friendly, and there is enough coffee/tea in the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and there was full DStv. Only the shower area was very small and uncomfortable. But would recommend it to my friends anytime, especially at that price!

In-room amenities include a TV with selected DStv channels, air conditioning, a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Establishment facilities provided include a communal kitchen and braai facilities, secure on-site parking under a shade-netted carport.
In case of loadshedding or blackouts, our solar and battery backup power will, as far as possible, provide power to the Wi-Fi network, booster pump, external lights, the main room lights and the TV. Our solar power also provides uninterrupted water, supplied from a filtered borehole and storage tanks.
