Being able to see the river was really amazing. The rooms were very nice, and the bed was comfortable. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Until next time. Lovely house, all as described, and wonderful location. The house became the centre of the regatta, with many people stopping by to watch the racing.
We had a great time. Beautiful nature around us and the children enjoyed fishing in the river. We had a nice barbecue and quietly watched the birds when it got dusk and everyone came flying home. It was special. The sunset was beautiful. Thank you very much.
For the boy it was ideal because he could fish from the jetty right in front of the house. For mother and sisters there was the peace and comfort to relax and watch the birds every afternoon. We used indoor braai twice and it was very cozy.

We were a group of ladies that were in Velddrif for a weekend of line dancing. We had a stunning stay at Riverhouse-Velddrif.
Would prefer if the front could somehow be closed as well. We had a barbecue and the next thing those fish sellers were standing in the door. A way to maybe keep them out. It happened 3 times over the weekend that they came to bother. Furthermore, the house and views are really beautiful and we will definitely rent the house again. Thank you very much.

The location on the river is lovely. It was freezing cold and rainy during our visit and the nice big fireplace in the living area created a cozy and friendly atmosphere where we had a great time nesting.

Stunning views of the river and its birdlife, amazing sunsets. Just a great accommodation to unwind and relax and enjoy good company. Fishing was disappointing though.
Although I cannot complain about our stay, there are however a few things that my family were not happy about. The sliding door in the main bed room was locked and the people who slept in that room was very unhappy about it. There is only one TV upstairs with a very steep staircase and could not be used by some of the family members who struggle to walk. It is also dangerous for small children.
Fantastic weekend with the best possible view of the river. This beautiful home offers everything one needs. Will definitely stay here again if we visit the West Coast.

Wow, thank you very much. What a memorable weekend, your home is tops and you really don't have to bring anything together. You can really give yourself a pat on the back. It's like our own house by the sea. We had a great rest while kids were fishing. We watched them from the porch of the house.

This house has the perfect location as it is located next to the Berg River. We could sit on the porch and visit while the children caught fish on the jetty. Riverhouse-Velddrif has everything you need to just relax and spend time with friends and family. All you need to bring is good food, a good bottle of wine and good company.
Riverhouse was a big surprise. We had a lovely stay, the view was perfect and we felt at home in the house.
Riverhouse has everything you need. It is practically laid out (with an indoor braai!) and very tranquil. The cormorants who fly in and out every morning are something to see - literally for hours. Children can ride there bicycles in the area. Spar is located close by. On the sidewalk you can sit and watch the little town around. The most beautiful sunsets - right in front of you. You won't be disappointed.

Riverhouse makes one feel at home. The most beautiful view of the Bergriver and it feels like you just want to sit and watch. Centrally located. Perfect for a West Coast trip. We had a wonderful time on the patio and the outside braai.
There are no words to describe how comfortable and nice this house is, there is everything one needs and more. My little one frolicked on the sand, in the water, or just watched cartoons. We feel so rested and wish we could return every weekend.

The house offers everything for a peaceful holiday. Very practical design that offers simple yet still luxurious accommodation. Location and safety are very good. Many thanks to Helena who responded quickly to requests and for the privilege of being able to use the house.

We had a GREAT time at Riverhouse and I would recommend the house to anyone. Helena was very helpful and friendly.
The Riverhouse was absolutely perfect for us! Right on the bank of the Berg River - we bought fish straight off the fishing boat on Saturday morning ... We sat outside on the grass and had wine most of the weekend. It was extremely relaxing and we felt very safe. One of the couples who went with us enjoyed the weekend so much that they are going to go back with both their parents and children soon.
We enjoyed our weekend so much, we didn't want to go home.
Riverhouse-Velddrif is well situated with a lovely view across the river. We appreciated the folding doors which gave wide access to the sheltered stoep. Enjoyed the braai facilities and the DSTV upstairs. Lots of hot water. Interesting pictures and artwork. Veld flowers were wonderful
