One of the rooms is furnished with a double bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a toilet. The second bedroom contains a double bed, and 2 single beds are available in the loft room. The second bathroom is fitted with a shower, and a toilet. A cot, changing table with accessories, bath and feeding chair are available at an extra cost, please arrange in advance .
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped. The living room has a dining table and guests can relax in the lounge. There is also an outside braai area under a vineyard arbor with all the necessary accessories.
The cottage has lovely views. A walking route is also available on the farm that leads to the river as well as a lovely hot tub in the braai area.
Tulbagh and surrounds offers wine tasting at the nearby wine estates and vineyards, as well as activities such as walking and hiking, and mountain biking and horse-back riding trails. Guests can view the blooming wildflowers between April and October, or visit the Oude Kerk Volksmuseum and Tulbagh Nursery.

The attentive service by Rina, a super-friendly and helpful host, adds to the charm. The cottage's character and comfort, paired with a lovely hot tub boasting mountain views, make it an ideal choice for a relaxing getaway. Nadine, the horse, is a true delight, making the stay even more special for those seeking a connection with nature and the countryside. The walk down to the river was an awesome surprise, providing food for the soul.
Thank you very much for the wonderful treat of staying in Riviera Cottage. Everything was so beautiful and clean, luxurious and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The view of the mountains first prize and the tranquility of the environment is wonderful. Rina looked at us very well. I would highly recommend the Cottage.
We stayed at Riviera Cottage for a long weekend in August. Weather was a bit temperamental, but rain or shine: We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cottage is beautiful, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. We were greeted by our host upon arrival with a welcoming smile and good advice on how to make the most out of the amenities of the place as well as some recommendations for what to do in the area. The scenery was stunning and much enjoyed by us and by our dog. We will definitely be back.
This is a gem of a place in Tulbagh. The tranquility of the farm is what makes everything extra special. Excellent, clean, equipped residential unit with an incredibly beautiful view of the mountains. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. Nice to walk around with the friendly dogs that accompany you. Our four-legged child was also welcomed with an open heart and fit in easily. Rina puts a lot of effort into her guests with all the extra little touches. Conveniently close to all the attractions in the town and surrounding area. But finally the incredibly friendly reception with which you are received by Rina, she is a brilliant hostess. We can't wait to return.
We had a great time and the two spaniel's enjoyed the fenced garden around the house. Could not have wanted for anything the cottage has all you need. There is more to the cottage and area than the pictures show. The hostess was attentive and helpful tell us about the farm and placed to visit in the area. We will hopefully be back again soon. Very nice place to stay could not have asked for more. The cottage is well stocked with all you could need. Very clean and everything worked. Lots of emergency lights for loadshedding as well. We will be back again soon we hope.
Riviera Cottage is lovely and had everything we needed. The hot tub is an added bonus which we really enjoyed using. It is close to lots of wine and olive farms, making it a good base to visit Tulbach from.
The atmosphere is very peaceful and the view is stunning. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. We had such a nice stay. It has everything needed. Our dog also really enjoyed it. We will definitely come back again.

Rina is a fantastic hostess; her reception was warm and she immediately made us feel welcome. We arrived quite late and she already had a fire burning inside the house for us. It's the little things that make the place and the stay really great and at Riviera Cottage the special little touches are in abundance. Nothing was missing, everything was provided. We would definitely recommend Riviera Cottage as a first choice for accommodation in the Tulbagh area.
The location is fantastic! We had such a nice stay. The cottage is large, very tidy and has everything you need to stay comfortable! Rina was an excellent hostess! Thank you very much for the days we could stay with you!
