We had a very nice and peaceful weekend and could watch all the rugby on the big screen - even at 11 o'clock at night. The cottages and grounds are very neat and clean. The host and wife give personal attention to each guest and go out of their way to make it as pleasant as possible for everyone. Thank you very much for everything!
Uncle Gerrit and Aunt Anette were exceptional hosts - kind, caring and accommodating. The place was beautiful and relaxing. The game drive was one of the best I've been on - thanks to Edwin. The kids were very sad to leave. I cannot wait to be back with a bigger crowd of people.

Don't feel like driving more than an hour out of Pretoria? Looking for a peaceful bushland weekend away to a place with painstakingly neat and stylish self-catering chalets with everything you need already included? A fridge, microwave, kettle, gas stove, gas geyser, all cutlery, a warm bed (with an extra blanket in the cupboard), camping chairs and a private boma and barbecue? Add to that a bar on the premises with a projector screen for the rugby, a nice fire for the winter cold, a braai with new friends and good music on top of that! Then there are also quite a few Black Roebucks, Nyalas, Blesbokke, Golden Wildebeest and Black-bellied Bucks that come in just before sunset for their feeding time with the sun setting behind them. It was all included with our visit and made for one of the best weekends! Do yourself a favor and save this page for your next getaway destination! From the moment our booking was done, communication was clear, all additional information was provided. We were greeted at the gate. There was a power outage in the area, but there was backup solar, so we did not even notice. Great quiet getaway with wildlife pools. Did not manage to try the morning breakfast on the day of our departure.

They are down to earth people who made us feel welcome upon our arrival and throughout our 5 day visit. We were truly sad when we had to go home. Rocky Hill is a hidden paradise, the pictures cannot capture the beauty of the place. Gerrit and Anet and their son Edwin's hospitality is incredible and they really go the extra mile to keep their guests more than happy and make our stay and visit there unforgettable. We really enjoyed the mountain bike routes and had the privilege of being able to see a lot of wildlife and even rhinos.
