Smoking is prohibited inside the unit.Pets are strictly not allowed.
Access to the unit is through Monks Cowl Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Gates and these gates are locked between 18:00 and 06:00. Guests are required to plan any trips with these times in mind.
To hike on any of the extensive Monks Cowl Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife hiking paths, you are required to obtain a permit and fill in the Mountain Rescue form. The hosts can issue you a permit which costs R50 per adult and R25 per child per day which are only payable in cash. The Mountain Rescue form is in the unit's folder in the lounge. The form must be completed before you set off on your walk or hike and must be left with the host.
The playing of music is strictly prohibited. Respect the right of others to peace and tranquillity and of their enjoyment of bird songs and night sounds.
Firecrackers or Chinese Lanterns are strictly prohibited since they pose a serious fire hazard as well as noise pollution.
