Great place. Host was friendly and responsive - made us feel welcome and at right at home. The cottage is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Attention to detail added to a nice stay. Would definitely recommend.

Would have liked a comfortable chair and small gas heater inside. Night light next to the single bed wasn’t charged or just poorly functional.
Needs repair and tidying up. Bedside lamps, curtain hooks, and some pieces of furniture are lumbar. The bathroom is shabby and creepy, and the shower is a safety hazard (there are no pictures of the bathroom). The cottage is impractical, e.g. the double bed is very high, but the bedside tables are low, the kitchenette has a bathroom sink so washing dishes is a mission, there is no privacy on the porch or at the bedroom windows. Also no water during loadshedding. Other places to stay with similar prices were in top condition and offered much more.
Great communication from the owner. We had a very nice stay. Has everything one needs. The friendly pets came to greet us a few times. We would definitely recommend Rooiheuwel Cottage!

Everyone was friendly, very tidy and the children really liked the animals.

It was a lovely getaway! We really enjoyed it - slept great in a beautiful, clean bed. Everything was very neat and clean. The nice sweet wine was just as delicious and a very nice extra. So is the plenty of free wood - for original campers an absolute must! Anina is very nice and did everything she could to make us comfortable and have a good time. We went for a lovely walk and just enjoyed the tranquility. A fireplace in the room would have made everything absolutely perfect. Something that might be considered is to make the directions to the farm a little clearer.
