Great. The house lives perfectly, the space just works very well. The whole house was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. There were extra blankets, and the central fireplace really helped to warm the space while we were there. The photos of the view from the stoep also don't do it justice.
We had a very nice stay. Rooiland is beautiful, neat and clean with everything one needs. We would definitely recommend it. The only problem we had was the water pressure in one of the bathrooms was very low with almost no water in the evening.
Well situated, peaceful with a beautiful mountain view. Very close to town centre. Park and walk around town. Easy access to the walks.
Lovely fully equipped house in a quiet cul de sac. Stunning views. Clarens is a delightful town and the shops and restaurants were in walking distance. We always felt safe and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. We will return.
We had a wonderful stay in Rooiland. It is conveniently located for a short walk as well as walking into town. Rooiland was very well equipped with a very nice kitchen, living room and porch with a beautiful garden and a nice view. I will definitely visit Rooiland again.
It was a very pleasant stay. We did find the unit a bit cold and could only keep warm with the fireplace going in the lounge.

Very central - we could walk everywhere. From doing mountain climbing routes to eating out in the evening. Beautiful view and quiet.
We only stopped for one night on the way to the sea. We had a very nice stay. The apartment had everything we needed. There were more than enough heaters, blankets and nice warm blankets on the bed. We are guest house owners ourselves and can truly say that the apartment is nice and clean and comfortable. Thank you very much.

Our stay in the Garden View Unit was lovely. Beautiful surroundings - neat, clean and exquisite accommodation. Conveniently close to the town (walking distance), as well as a beautiful forest area where you can go for a walk. Private and secure.
We enjoyed a lovely weekend with friends. Rooiland is excellently equipped, very neat and clean, with Trudy who is a very pleasant and helpful hostess. The location is just as good, two blocks from the main square in Clarens with a beautiful view from the front porch. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures show. We would be very happy to book it again and recommend it to anyone.
It was lovely the place was beautiful and the mountains and gardens were beautiful. The location of the place was perfect and was nice and quiet. Wish we could stay there but now. All good things come to an end. See you next time.

Trudy was a lovely, thoughtful host. She communicated with us very clearly and helpfully before our arrival and accommodated our late arrival thanks to a pothole induced puncture. We only stayed for one night, but could happily have stayed longer. The accommodation was far more spacious than anticipated and very well equipped. As a bonus, we had lights all through load shedding. It was excellent value for money and a lovely stop over.
Walking distance from Clarens main street. All the facilities one would like and wifi, books, puzzles, DVD etc. Most beautiful view from porch and room. Very well furnished so that you don't get cold.

Rooiland exceeded or expectations! We were met by a very helpful and friendly staff member, who really took the trouble to show us around and make us feel welcome. The accommodation is truly a home from home, safe ,clean, well furnished, spacious, well equipped and set in a peaceful garden with lovely views of the mountains. This place will be our preferred place of accommodation during our future visits to Clarens.

The only negative for me, which is a personal negative, is that the bed was too hard. It felt like I was sleeping on concrete and I actually like hard beds, but this was going a bit too far.

My wife and I were in Clarens at the beginning of December. We travel relatively often and have stayed in many self-catering places. Compared to other places, Rooiland was perfect and exceeded all standards. Very neat, beautiful garden facing the mountain, 2 minutes walk from the shops, stalls and places to eat and still not in the middle of all the traffic. We will definitely book with Rooiland again for our next trip to Clarens.

The place is spacious, very neat and clean with not a thing out of place, fully equipped with more than one needs. Trudy was very friendly and helpful and contacted me several times before our arrival to confirm everything. The guest house is a stones throw from all the shops and restaurants which was a bonus - we never had to drive anywhere. Will stay there again.

I can definitely recommend it as a "getaway" for a short or long vacation. All types of eating places are just a short walk away from the accommodation. The new Mall on Bethlehem has "Woolworths Foods" and much more. We used it as accommodation during the Kersie Fees in Ficksburg.

After many visits to Clarens, I will not book any other place than Rooiland. It is incredibly clean and tidy and Trudy has thought of everything, there is even a coffee "plunger" for your early morning coffee. The nature is beautiful with all the trees that start to change color in April towards autumn. Will book there again soon but this time for definitely longer than two days.
