26 guests' feedbackThe house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is stunning, and the private dune spot is unforgettable. The outside area was also very nice but did need some cleaning up. We had a wonderful time.
Beautiful house by the sea, which makes you immediately relax and feel as if you are on holiday. Stylishly furnished with unique elements that make the decor really special. Protected by the sand dunes from the sea breeze, the braai boma is also ideally located for braai or just sitting and visiting.
Brilliant for bird watching and long beach walks.
Apart from the misleading advertisement it was a stunning weekend.
Had a great time. The duster was a winner when it started to rain and made the living area very nice and warm.

The house is beautiful, on the beach and well equipped. The road at the back with the most amazing bird life was a bonus.
Plainly & beautifully decorated and with everything you'll need, even for a winter breakaway. Friendly & helpful owner & caretaker. Fantastic spot between the sea & the salt lake. Loved the lookout deck & the cosy braai area. Also close to lots of things to do. We'll be back!
We stayed here for 2 days. The house was beautifully clean and well equipped with everything you need. You just walk up the dune to be at the beach. We enjoyed it very much!
Very comfortable stay, a place for long evenings around the fire with friends, followed by a walk on the endless beach! Will certainly be back for more!
Pleasant comfortable accomodation, only cold water in basins in bathrooms. No view. Harassed to get out on our departure by the incoming tenant.
Very nice house with fireplace. The road is very bad, shake your vehicle apart. Was cold and gas heater gas was finished. Gas heater adjustment also did not work. Very nice view from the dune behind the house.
Thank you to all concerned, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rooisee this past weekend, it was really great and different to what we usually do. We will be back again in the future.
Rooisee is a comfortable, beautifully decorated and well-equipped cottage. It is well-situated in that it feels separate from Yzerfontein proper, but in reality is only a 5-10 minute walk on the beautiful 16 Mile Beach to the nearest coffee shop. The look-out deck is a highlight, with stunning panoramic views of the pristine coastline. Highly recommended.
Rooisee is beautiful and perfectly located, close to the beach. Facilities neat and convenient. Will go again and take friends with.
It was a peaceful week at Rooisee, close to Yzerfontein but still far enough away from everything. Our toddlers enjoyed the steps and even the cold ocean. We will definitely go again!

Rooisee is an absolute haven of peace and tranquility, ideal for bird/nature lovers. We absolutely loved our stay. The house felt like home and the safe surroundings offered endless freedom to our kids. We pray that the sea will spare the dune and that Rooisee will remain.
Rooisee in Yzerfontein is a small jewel of a place. It is secure and private with amazing views and little treasures to enjoy. The home was to say the least - a home away from home, fully equipped, comfortable, cosy, warm and beautiful! The Rooisee team assisted as from a few days prior to our arrival to right up to our departure, and they are so friendly. We are planning our next visit back already!
