Each cottage has a patio from where guests can relax and enjoy the surroundings. Each cottage also has its own braai area, large lawns, and a private swimming pool. The cottages comprise fully equipped kitchens with microwaves, fridges, and utensils, and are equipped with linen including swimming towels. The cottages are also equipped with TV’s with selected DStv channels, and hairdryers. All 3 cottages have fireplaces for those cold winter evenings, as well as a dining area, and a lounge area with comfortable furniture.
Franschhoek is the food capital of South Africa with its many award-winning restaurants in the village. Wine tasting is a must in the valley; guests can visit well-known wineries and most are open to the public for tasting. One can even do this on horseback. The village offers many art galleries with well-known artists exhibiting their work. There are hiking trails in the mountains, bicycles for hire, or horse rides. Stellenbosch and Paarl are half an hour away, and one of the many beautiful drives would be over the Franschhoek Pass to Hermanus to watch the whales in Winter. There are also excellent golf courses in the area for the enthusiast.

The surrounding landscape only adds to the splendor of Rose Cottages.
Beautiful cottage, very friendly service and company received from Joan. Everything one needs and more. Definitely a place to which one can return again and again.
Perfect for a girls weekend getaway. Beautiful surroundings.
The Stables cottage is perfect for 2 couples' getaway, with the fireplace the center of coziness. The vineyards around the cottage make for a nice morning walk and a photo or two.
I would definitely return to Rose Cottages should I visit Franschhoek again and will recommend the accomodation to my friends.
We will stay at Rose Cottages again.
We had so much fun at Rose Cottage! The view is beautiful and the accommodation was neat, tasteful and clean. Will visit again.
A lovely cottage to share with teenage children, working Wi-Fi is an added advantage.
Spacious two bedroom cottage with beautiful views over the vineyards and mountains. Separate loft room good for teenagers and small kids. Serviced daily which allows you to relax completely. Friendly host and staff. Will definitely visit again.
I booked 2 cottages for my fiancé's 50th and our guests loved the place. The next day we left there with peace of mind and we were also married the next day. So promised Joan we would celebrate our wedding anniversary there every year.
