Although a small detour from N12 it was definitely an excellent choice. The location at the top of a koppie is special and the view of the sky after dark is impressive. I recommend the dinner as we had delicious shoulder of lamb that was spectacularly tasty! The cottage is excellent too - not a copy of a hotel room, but very comfortable. The lady of the house is very friendly. Will stay there again if/when we go that way in the future.
You have everything you need to relax and get a good night's rest before continuing the long road to the Cape.

Our hostess was very friendly, the spacious unit was clean and we slept wonderfully warm. However, the shower head is in urgent need of replacement - it is very worn and very few jets spray. The cauldron is also very much tackled and can offend. The place is located on a hill with a beautiful view.
Rosedale has everything we needed for a 1 night stay. The beds were very comfortable. We would only suggest putting in a decent sink with hot water for dishes. Dillys wanted a sign saying we shouldn't wash up, which is nice.

We had a lovely stay at Rosedale Guest Cottage. The reception was very friendly. Everything we needed was in the cottage. The view from the (cottage) is beautiful. It is a very peaceful environment. Recommendation that a car that is a little higher off the ground is used.

This should have been a five star cottage. Hostess thought of everything. Hand cream, sweeties on dressing table, books to read, loaded light for loadshedding. Even a trolley to carry your bags from the car to the house. Will stay there again.

Only got there very late, much later than we should have. But was warmly received and the food was immediately ready, delicious Karoo lamb shoulder with vegetables, salad and dessert. Dog was somewhat troublesome next morning, would not recommend for children or people afraid of dogs, nice young Great Dane who wants to play and then he jumps on you. Bump up to the house was ok, but towed forest wagon, normal trailer maybe going to struggle a bit over bumps.

Accommodation is very far and located in an uncomfortable area. Roads very bad. We got sick from the water that came out of the kettle. There was a layer of jelly-like water at the bottom of the kettle. Lotion and other products in bathroom expired. No reception of cellphones.

Friendly reception and delicious Karoo meal with breakfast to order was truly delicious.
We were pretty well prepared for any eventuality. We were aware of load shedding. The wind might have been a somewhat negative experience with the window right above the bed not being able to close. Drinking water was provided. However, ants came out with the water at the faucet right at the entrance. The water was for washing dishes. I would suggest that the origin of the ants be investigated. Other than that it was really very pleasant.
We were so kindly received by Dillys and the accommodation was top notch with every possible little thing provided. Only place I could ever see the sun set and rise over the horizon and the stars in the evening were amazing. Karoo hospitality at its best.
Our hostess made our visit wonderful in the evening with the most delicious Karoo meals imaginable. The room is very neat, elegant and offers absolute privacy to the guests. The glorious sun through the glass door kept us inside from the cold winter wind, but the goats and farm environment tempted us to a lovely walk on the farm.

Old world accommodation with everything you will need. Book the dinner, it is highly recommended. Beautiful view. Try to get there before dark so you can appreciate the surroundings, farm life and view.

We were very friendly and warmly received. The cottage is well and comfortably furnished. What is missing is a convenient dishwasher. We experienced a particularly strong wind and rainstorm in the Karoo that night. Unforgettable.

Had a nice time. The only thing I missed was the option of a farmhouse breakfast before leaving again. Otherwise, good location and farm atmosphere.
I was received very kindly by the hostess Dillys. The rooms and bedding/linen were spotless. Braai facilities with wood/charcoal are a welcome bonus, as is the air conditioner. My only suggestion would be to think about a small sink in the kitchen, and certainly a small table where one can sit and eat. However, it remains very good value, is delightfully quiet and gives one the chance to rest before the next long-distance shift.

After our long journey, Rosedale Cottage was an experience. Beautiful stone house with the most amazing view of the Karoo. Received by the hostess with real Karoo friendliness! Highly recommended to those who want to experience something different after a long day on the road!
Directions given were on the spot. Cottage was easy to find. Dilly's welcome was friendly and heart warming. Cottage was awesome neat and tidy. Garden and surrounding area was clean and neat. Sunrise on the following morning was awesome. Would highly recommend not only to stop over but to spend an extra day to explore the area. Well worth the stay, will definitely stop over there again.
It's a beautiful, cozy place in the Karoo. Als is clean, beautiful and well equipped. Reception is friendly with typical peasant hospitality. The sunset and starry sky are breathtaking. Would like to stay a little longer next time. It's the ideal place to stay from the Gauteng to the Western Cape. Just think that if others discover the gem, it will be hard to find a place to stay.

Even though we were late in the evening, we were received so warmly it felt like we had arrived at my own parents' house. The silence, view and fresh air made us wonderfully relax and escape from the crazy city rush and got us in the right mood to walk the Tankwa Camino.

The entryway to the facility could have been indicated better. We drove 6 km detour in the end to get there. The hostess went out of her way to make us feel at home.
Turn-off indication from main road could improve. GPS coordinates can also be welcome. Otherwise all good.
