Firstly, I think it's important to mention that the images of the listing were out of date at the time of booking and showed a seaview diagonally opposite. The vacant lot now has a house built on it. I texted after we checked in, but she failed to respond. I see now the image has been removed. The carpets in all three bedrooms were not vacuumed and heavily stained - needs a deep clean. The accommodation was fully equipped and had everything we needed. Squeaky clean bedding and towels. However, I will not be recommending because of the false advertising and zero accountability. We celebrated my husband's 50th and expected the view as advertised. At R1800 a night, it was not quite worth it.
Roseveldt is a nice and cozy house with everything and more that we needed. Beautiful kitchenware is a big plus. Beds also sleep very well. We definitely plan to visit again.
One problem we encountered was that the water pressure is very low and that made showering almost impossible. Another problem was that a young child tried to steal shoes from the front porch on Sunday morning. I am making sure that the porch is secured. On the positive side, the unit was well equipped with everything we needed, even milk in the fridge to pour a first cup of coffee on arrival.
Roseveldt is a nice place for retirement I feel, as well as for a holiday to just get rid of everything.
