Our annual holiday at R&R Cottage was amazing. Numandi & Colleen were the perfect hosts. We arrived with a beautiful Christmas tree and hamper with lots of goodies, waiting for us. They had even given our fur baby doggie biscuits. The cottage was immaculately clean and extremely well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect with a quick walk to the beach. The cottage is completely separate to the main house with its own driveway and parking. It's perfect as a pet-friendly destination with a lovely garden at the back of the property. The photos don't do the Cottage justice. I highly recommend R&R Cottage whether it's for a quick stay or for long-term accommodation. We'll definitely return to enjoy once again.

Upon our arrival we were so kindly welcomed. The owner also remembered our yorkie child's name and there was a special bowl of water for her inside the cottage. You are warmly welcomed and there is a small chocolate and bottle of wine of your choice waiting for you on your arrival and don't forget the cookie for your dog children. It had been a lot of sweat. Something we didn't expect. Everything was great, you basically don't need to take anything with you. Just your clothes, food and drinks, as well as braai wood. The cottage is less than 5 minutes' walk from the sea. It is dead quiet and you can hear the sea all the way there.

"Unpleasant and uncomfortable."

The owner of R&R Cottage is, in my opinion, dishonest about extra costs that may be linked to your stay. It is not displayed on the advertisement and you are not informed of it until your booking is complete or before you arrive at the premises. The advertisement was misleading and after we made a complaint, the premises' advertisement was changed almost immediately by the other parties to try and cover themselves. The owner was unpleasant and treated us as if we were going to do her in when the truth of the situation is that we were not informed in advance of extra charges linked to a guest staying over. The owner's house is directly next to the cottage and it felt as if our comings and goings were being watched because the fact that the alarm for the cottage goes off in her house not in the cottage. The house rules that appear on the advertisement are not complete and do not correspond to the house rules that the owner leaves on the premises upon your arrival in the cottage. If you have a dog, you should not book this place, the yard walls are very low, there is no side gate to help keep your dog in the back of the yard and the owner expects you to move the furniture 'spring clean' for dog hair despite the fact that you also have to pay a R250 cleaning fee. We have covered the furniture with our own sheets and bedding to reduce the dog hair that is blown in by the air etc. on it may come. I have traveled a lot in my life and will definitely never book with R&R Cottage again.

The owners of the place are extremely friendly and considerate to say the least. They also helped a lot where they could and always made sure we were okay. The place itself is fabulous, it's neat, modern, big enough and has everything you can use in your home. From a spoon to extra bedding to measurements for baking. There was cutlery that I didn't even expect to be there. The owner definitely and definitively thought of everything. The place is also in a quiet area, very safe and close to the sea which made it ideal. St. Helena Bay's people are just as friendly. They say hello and ask how you are doing. The day we had to drive I was sad to go. I will never forget R&R Cottage and recommend anyone looking to get away to try them out. Ooh yes, their barbecue place is perfect (we even got wood there too) and barbecue tools are neat and appropriate. We have nothing bad to say about our holiday at R&R, it was great to be able to visit them. Will definitely go there again,
