78 guests' feedbackWe stayed in the Ruah Park Cottage for the long weekend. Nice spacious house. Well equipped. Have a nice rest and walk and also visit Dinokeng.
We had a great time camping in a very neat campsite. Friendly atmosphere and very beautiful nature.
Will return to Ruah Park again and again. It remains our favorite campsite. The private ambulatory block and kitchen area are always neat and clean, braai sausages cleaned round the clock every morning, grounds are beautiful and peaceful.
Very nice stay. Large pitches. Green grass. Walking trails are fun and quite comfortable for children.
Our stay at the park was awesome. We will definitely be back, hopefully still this year. I would recommend the accommodation to anybody looking for a clean site to camp.
Very nice camping! Bathrooms are large, clean and tidy.
This is a wonderful place. Quiet, clean, safe and the people are friendly and pleasant. We will definitely come here again to kick out our spots.
Very nice and tidy campsite with loads of space. Don't tire yourself out before you start camping.
We really enjoyed our visit, will definitely visit again!
Had a fantastic weekend and had a great rest. Lick relax!
We always come back to this place!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park's facilities are neat, clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The ideal place for a peaceful getaway in nature. Quiet and peaceful. The park is small and no frills, but everything you want for that quiet getaway. The little shop is small, but has treats, ice and wood. It is also not expensive at all. The standing price is really reasonable, especially given the private ablution facilities. The location is ideal. Not too far from the city, but also far enough so that you get the feeling that you are really getting away. On Saturday they made delicious pizzas in a fire oven that are tastier than most takeaway pizzas. We will definitely camp there again and I can recommend the place to anyone. Brilliant!
Ruah offers everything for an exceptional camping experience! As always, we were very kindly welcomed by staff upon arrival. You have your own ablution, your own washing area and a nice big pitch with nice grass. There is plenty to do for smaller and bigger children, all nice and close and within walking distance of each other. Feel free to book at Ruah Park for a festival of a time!
Ruah Park is everything it promises to be. The Park is beautiful and very well maintained. There is plenty of space on the stand, and the kitchen area and bathroom are quite spacious. Many species of birds and then we also saw the ducks walking around the pond all day. We enjoyed the weekend so much and will definitely go camping again. The little shop has everything you need.
Ruah Park is beautiful, nice grass for camping, bathrooms are very modern and clean. Can definitely recommend it.
It was really amazing, we had a amazing night, quiet with a beautiful view on the lac and the water flow was just perfect! Some animals were on the site which was amazing too. The bathroom/ toilets were very clean with lots of rooms. Lovely personal, I recommend!
Very friendly reception and excellent facilities near Pretoria. Very peaceful atmosphere. The pitches are large with their own bathrooms and kitchen. Fantastic value for money.
Clean and well maintained facilities. Will definitely visit Ruah Park again. Big plus is that you have your own bathroom and sink.
The campsite is very well maintained and the facilities are very tidy. The site is well planned and every stand is excellent. We look forward to visiting them again.
We had a great camp, the private bathroom and washing up areas are fantastic, clean and modern. Grass is in good condition and pool just as nice and clean. Pizzas were delicious and their hiking trails just as delicious. Just book today, you're going to have a feast.
Rush park is one of the neatest campsites we have ever visited. The private bathroom is nice and big and we always had hot water. It was so nice to have all the goats and birds around us. The river contributes to a very peaceful atmosphere. The service we received was also extremely good. Delicious pizza delivered straight to our campsite that they baked in their pizza oven. Grills cleaned every day. The walking route over the hill also provided a very nice view. We will definitely camp there again and recommend the place.
Bear in mind and prepare for the power outages caused by load shedding in the area. Shop closes early so bring your own ice on arrival, especially after 4 pm.
The resort was clean and tidy. We loved the private ablution facilities. People were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go again.
Relaxing. Nice hiking trails.
Ruah Park is very neat and quiet. The children's playground was pleasant, modern and clean. It was not full of thorns and bushes like many other places. The bathrooms were very neat as well as the washing up area. The site is well maintained. Although the no signal helps one relax and the park is peaceful, I still feel it hinders one's safety in a crisis. I experienced it as a very relaxing place.
The accommodation was good, it did rain on the weekend but it was still a good experience and comfortable to find and not too far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Small, quiet, relaxing, camping ground.
The resort is beautiful and neat. Very close for a weekend out of the city. Private bathroom is stylish and spotless. Wonderfully peaceful!
I would refer anyone to Ruah with confidence, it is worth more than the rate you pay. After the weekend it feels like we had a week's rest.
The place is well kept, the no-music policy was the best decision they took. One gets to experience nature as it is. We enjoyed seeing different types of birds, the animals in the vicinity, tranquility and the sounds of the water.
We really enjoyed our time with you.
Quiet and neat. Bathroom and kitchen were nice and clean.
Thank you very much for a clean campsite, friendly service and excellent ablution facilities!. We will definitely go to Ruah Park again!
Very neat place with everything that money can't buy - nice view, trees, streams and tranquility.
Will definitely go camping there again, peaceful environment and nice close to Pretoria.
The camping sites need more shaded trees especially in summer.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The facilities were sufficient, clean and in working order.
Had a great time camping. It's a lovely peaceful place. Very clean and tidy. Will definitely be camping at Ruah Park again.
It's such a beautiful resort. Green as far as the eye can see. Stands not on top of each other. Clean, neat. We will definitely book a place there again.
Private ablution, very clean and tidy, campsite tidy, had a great time and will definitely go again.
Ruah Park is an awesome weekend getaway. Thea and Phillip really go out of their way to be accommodating. Nothing is too difficult. The whole park is very well kept. The hikes are short but loads of fun and the kids were entertained with the canoe rides. Will definitely return.
Stayed for a week. Very beautiful, neat facilities and very helpful people.
The green grass, private ablutions, goats that graze between the caravans, friendly staff and large open pitches make this truly a wonderful option for a quick escape from Pretoria.
Our family was very impressed with the beautiful place, green grass, the peaceful, friendly atmosphere. We will come again anytime.
Ruah Park is very neat. Ablution is big and neat.
Very clean and tidy. Amenities of the best. Close to the main road, so you don't need to drive long dirt roads. The wildlife that moves between the campers is fantasy.
Ruah Park is one of the neatest campsites we have ever visited! The pitches are large and the ablutions and kitchenette are clean and well laid out. See you again soon!
Ruah Park is a lovely holiday destination and good for the soul.
We had a lovely peaceful weekend. Beautiful vistas. Food for the soul.
On arrival there was a bit of a wait-at-the-gate issue, but having said that we landed there an hour or so after check-in. Still helped, very hospitable. Waking up to the bleating of goats, much better than the noise of vehicles. Will return again after that, to saddle up a bit longer.
Was probably the coldest weekend in Pretoria in a long time. Fireplace in the house was fantastic. Pizzas on Saturday was a winner! Comfort in the house can still improve. We did not understand from the advertisement that we were going to have a limited DSTV package and were extremely disappointed to miss the Springboks-Leeus match. It was also extremely inconvenient to only have cold water in the kitchen and to have to constantly boil or heat water on the gas stove to wash dishes. There is also no hot water at the sink in the upstairs bathroom. The second room upstairs also has no window and is pitch dark when the doors are closed. Distressed actually. The upper room with a double bed is also very close to the A-line roof and you quite easily hit your head on the beams. Kitchen well equipped and nice outside braai area. Very close to Pretoria.
Just want to say again that it was an absolute pleasure to camp this weekend. Everything was spotless and the staff very helpful and friendly. Our site K2 was very sloping so next time we will choose one that is flatter. Would definitely recommend Ruah Park.
It's a beautiful facility and the fact that each stand has its own ablution blocks is fabulous. Will definitely visit again.
Most beautiful bathrooms ever, very beautiful surroundings. Variety of bird species.
Very neat, clean and peaceful place. Pool is nice and clean. Braai area is cleaned every morning. Very safe.
From our arrival until we drove off again, everything was clean, tidy and peaceful. The no radio/music policy works for us. Environment beautiful and resort very clean.
Camp is quite new, the pitches are large and on terraces planted with grass. The trees are still quite young, so a gazebo of your own is recommended. Each pitch is equipped with its own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, as well as dishwashing sinks, and power points. Trash and braai facilities are provided. The specific pitch where you pitch is assigned by Ruah. The very best aspect of this campsite is the no music policy. One can quietly listen to the birds and the flow of water and truly relax.
It was safe, clean and everyone was helpful. We'll see them again soon.
Very nice experience, especially with the game walking around. Hiking trails were awesome. Will definitely go again.
Maybe all the groups with children should stay on one side and those without children on the other.
Ruah park is located in a lovely natural environment. Parking spaces are neat. The house where we stayed was well equipped and the visiting areas are lovely. The one upstairs room has no windows so no air flow when the doors are closed - maybe that's something they could look at? There are also not enough oven trays/scoop trays, but otherwise it was very nicely furnished. Clean, tidy and wonderfully peaceful. We really enjoyed the weekend!
We really enjoyed it. Kids swam and played and we were very peaceful.
The camp site allocated was on a steep slope and my husband battled to level the caravan. He is a pensioner and this was physically very taxing for him. However, the groundsmen were very helpful. Management was not visible at all to discuss possibly reallocation of a better site, or for other matters such as directions to the area's attractions.
Will visit again.
Very nice surroundings, and a clean, tidy camp. Very close to Pretoria. Was well received by the owners, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend it.
Really enjoyed camping at Ruah Park. Owners are very friendly and the reception was warm and welcoming.
I give Ruah Park 10 out of 10. Thank you for a great weekend.
Neat spots with beautiful and convenient bathrooms. The view from every spot is charming. The game that visited was also a big treat.
The ablution was clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. The site is well maintained.
Quiet place and clean ablution. Will definitely visit again.
We really had a great time camping and relaxing, we felt safe at all times and just rested. The personal ablution pad for each stand is an absolute winner that made camping so much more enjoyable. We could go for a nice walk and take a lot of pictures. The policy of no music and television was very strictly enforced and the peace and quiet was something we really enjoyed. There was no noise or other annoyances and relaxation was the order of the day. The evenings were very quiet and peaceful and all campers treated the environment and fellow campers with respect, with the result that there was harmony in the camp at all times. We look forward to our next camp there, as well as using the new swimming pool that is under construction. We can recommend the camp to all campers who want peace and quiet with such a camp to make use of it. Many thanks to Madelein and Philip for being a wonderful host and hostess.
Beautiful camping site. Best thing is the extremely beautiful bathroom and washing up area. Each stand has its own. Owners very friendly and helpful. Amazing weekend. Thanks again, Philip and Madeleine. Can't wait to go again.
If you prefer quiet, green grass and very neat ablution blocks, Ruah Park is an excellent camping spot. I would not recommend it for those with children, but prefer it that way and I feel like for those seeking silence in the bush it is the ideal place. Keep it that way. Worth it to go camping again.
Very nice place. Will visit it again.
We enjoyed the camping, the stands are well places with their own ablutions. We were hospitably welcomed and will return.
For a weekend away from the city where you can be quiet, this is definitely a winner.
Really recommended for the people who want/can appreciate tranquility. Very clean and tidy terrine. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will go there again for sure.
The welcoming and service was very good. The place is very clean and need all round. It is perfectly located, +- 150 km from the Vaal Triangle. The nature, silence and staff made the stay very pleasant. There is an abundance of birds and the game in the camp create a nice 'Bosveld' atmosphere. There was not any moment that we felt that we should lock every thing before we left our camp, very safe. The only negative commentary is that there should be warm and cold pool and playground for kids. There is a lack of entertainment and a shop with basic goods like bread, cold drinks, ice cream ext. The rule of no TV and music was fantastic.
